Florida Georgia Line Reunion Buzz After Kelley and Hubbard's Hike
Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley posted a mysterious message after reconnecting with his former bandmate Tyler Hubbard.“Following our hike with T-Hubb,” Kelley, 40, wrote alongside an Instagram Reel on Friday, January 2.
The video showed Kelley walking through a natural setting before transitioning to a clip of the popular Jon Hamm TikTok trend of him dancing in a nightclub. The meme clip is often paired with the song “Turn the Lights Off.” A segment of Kelley’s video used the electronic dance track before shifting to Florida Georgia Line’s hit song “Cruise.”“A great hike, brother @tylerhubbard,” Kelley captioned the clip.Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley's Dispute ExplainedHubbard, 38, responded in the comments section with the running man and flexing arm emojis.Numerous fans speculated that Kelley and Hubbard might be reviving Florida Georgia Line after the musical duo’s 2022 split.“The guys are back!!!!!!! Let’s goooooooo,” one user replied, while another wrote, “Waiting for the reunion tour announcement.”Many of Kelley and Hubbard’s country music colleagues also reacted to the post, including Jason Aldean, Chase Rice, and others.“Should I start writing FGL songs again,” Hardy joked, while Chris Lane praised, “This is the best use of this meme I’ve seen.”Joey Hyde, who previously toured with Florida Georgia Line as one of the band’s guitarists, also informed Kelley and Hubbard that he was available if a potential reunion were to happen.“Let me know if you need the original guitarist to come out of retirement. I’m sure he’s ready for a tour haha,” Hyde teased.Last month, Hubbard mentioned that he had plans to meet with Kelley for a hike after not communicating for several years.“I hadn’t talked to BK much in the last couple of years, but we’re going hiking next week,” Hubbard said during a December 2025 appearance on the “Human School” podcast. “The way I see it is I have a desire for that friendship. I miss the person I was partnered with for 10 years. I miss my old roommate, my best man at my wedding.”The pair seemingly experienced a disagreement in 2020, when observant fans noticed that Hubbard had stopped following Kelley on social media. At the time, Kelley was vocal about his political views and had supported Joe Biden for president. Hubbard later resumed following Kelley and admitted that he regretted the action.“I do regret unfollowing BK publicly at one point during this whole situation because that also fueled this narrative and amplified this whole thing when it was really unnecessary,” he said in December 2025. “That was naive on my part and irresponsible and also definitely emotionally charged.”Hubbard and Kelley then pursued individual projects before officially disbanding as a duo in 2022. Hubbard stated that before they decided to end the band, he asked Kelley to reconsider.“We had a really good conversation for, like, an hour. I was able to be very honest. He was able to be very honest,” Hubbard recalled. “He basically said, ‘Man, I’m really feeling drawn to this, this is the time for me to do this and I really need your support and want your support.’ [I said] ‘whatever you ultimately want to do, I want you to be happy and I want you to follow your gut and your heart and if that means not doing this, so be it. But I ask you to reconsider.’ That wasn’t the path I wanted.”
