Former Cheerleader Accused in Infant's Death Celebrated Holidays and Concerts with Boyfriend Before Arrest
Months prior to her arrest regarding the death of her infant, Laken Snelling, a former competitive cheerleader for the University of Kentucky, marked Easter alongside her boyfriend and relatives.
On April 20, the 21-year-old Snelling posted photos on Facebook featuring her boyfriend, Connor Jordan, and various family members.
Wearing a dress adorned with flowers, Snelling placed her hand on Jordan’s chest while they both smiled for the photograph.
Jordan, who previously played college basketball at Lincoln Memorial University, also appeared in several TikTok videos uploaded by Snelling earlier in the year.

In June, the pair participated in a "couples photo shoot," where Snelling and Jordan donned identical white attire and were photographed together in an open field.
Snelling's April TikTok upload, which depicted the couple preparing for a Megan Moroney concert, also featured Jordan, who was tagged in the post. Within the video, Jordan is shown embracing Snelling from behind and giving her a kiss on the cheek.
Whether Snelling and Jordan maintained their relationship at the time of her arrest on August 30 remains uncertain.
Jordan has no known involvement with Snelling's pregnancy or the subsequent death of her infant.
On August 27, law enforcement was called to Snelling's residence in Lexington, Kentucky, following a report of an unresponsive baby.
An arrest citation states that the "infant was discovered encased in a towel within a black trash bag."
Snelling "confessed to delivering the baby" and to "hiding the birth by removing all evidence, putting all used cleaning supplies into a black trash bag, along with the infant, who was wrapped in a towel."
Her arrest occurred three days subsequently, facing charges of abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence, and concealing the birth of a child.
Snelling entered a not-guilty plea to the accusations and was set free on a $100,000 bond. She currently resides under "home incarceration without an ankle monitor" at her parents' home in Tennessee.
According to a coroner's report acquired by Us Weekly on Thursday, September 4, the cause of the infant's death was determined to be inconclusive.

In relation to the death inquiry, Izaiah Hall, who is Snelling's former boyfriend, recently provided his DNA to law enforcement officials.
"Lexington police requested he visit the station to provide a sample," Justin Smith, Hall's father, informed the New York Post on Saturday, September 6. "I have no further information on this, and we are unaware if Izaiah is indeed the father."
The duration of Snelling and Hall's relationship, or the timing of their separation, remains unknown.
Snelling's initial court hearing is set for September 26.
