From Feud to Friendship: Lala Kent and Ambyr Childers' Unexpected Bond
Lala Kent and Ambyr Childers initially experienced a difficult relationship — however, they have since cultivated an unexpected bond.
The pair initially clashed during Kent’s relationship with Randall Emmett, who was married to Childers from 2009 to 2017. Emmett and Childers welcomed daughters London and Rhylee in 2010 and 2013, respectively, before separating.
A year after Emmett publicly acknowledged his romance with Kent, Childers made news by addressing Kent on social media.
“Since you’re not responding to my messages, I’ll try here,” she posted via Instagram in August 2019. “Lala, I appreciate your affection for my children, but until you’re officially their stepmother, please avoid sharing pictures of my children online! I hope [you] understand my perspective. Thank you.”
Kent and Emmett became engaged in 2018 and welcomed their daughter, Ocean, in March 2021. After postponing their wedding due to COVID-19, Kent fueled speculation of a breakup in October 2021 when she deleted all references to her then-fiancé from her social media accounts. A month later, Us confirmed that Kent and Emmett had ended their relationship.
Later that year, Emmett asserted that Kent and Childers were collaborating to initiate a negative publicity campaign against him.
“I believe that Ambyr and Lauren [Kent’s real name] are collaborating in an effort to damage my reputation to provide them both an advantage in custody matters,” Emmett claimed in documents obtained by Us Weekly in November 2022.
Kent appeared to respond to Emmett’s assertions via her Instagram Story that same month.
“When the moment arrives that you fail, you can attempt to blame everyone around you for your downfall. And not if, but when that day arrives — when your concealed truth is exposed — you will have to confront yourself and recognize [that] you are the cause of this, not anyone else,” Kent wrote.
