From Foes to Friends: Lala Kent and Ambyr Childers' Unexpected Bond
Initially, Lala Kent and Ambyr Childers had a rocky start to their relationship, but have remarkably forged an unexpected bond.
Their initial animosity arose during Kent's relationship with Randall Emmett, who had previously been married to Childers between 2009 and 2017. Emmett and Childers had two daughters, London born in 2010 and Rhylee in 2013, before their separation.
A year following Emmett's public confirmation of his relationship with Kent, Childers garnered attention for publicly admonishing Kent on social media platforms.
“Given your unresponsiveness to my text messages, I'm resorting to this platform,” she posted on Instagram in August 2019. “Lala, while I appreciate your affection for my daughters, I kindly request that you refrain from sharing images of my children on social media until you are legally their stepmother! I trust [you] comprehend my perspective. Thank you."
The Tumultuous Journey of Lala Kent and Randall Emmett: A Chronology
Kent and Emmett became engaged in 2018 and celebrated the birth of their daughter, Ocean, in March 2021. Their wedding was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and in October 2021, Kent fueled rumors of a breakup by deleting all mentions of her then-fiancé from her online profiles. The following month, Us verified that Kent and Emmett had ended their relationship.
Towards the end of that year, Emmett asserted that Kent and Childers were colluding to orchestrate a defamatory campaign targeting him.
“My belief is that Ambyr and Lauren [Kent’s birth name] are conspiring to damage my public image, thereby gaining an upper hand in custody proceedings,” Emmett claimed in papers acquired by Us Weekly in November 2022.
Kent appeared to rebuke Emmett's remarks on her Instagram Story during the same month.
“When your inevitable downfall arrives, you may attempt to attribute your ruin to those around you. And not if, but when that moment comes — when the truth you painstakingly concealed is finally exposed — you will confront your reflection and realize [that] no one but yourself was responsible for your predicament,” Kent penned.
