From Stage to Spouses: Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton's Love Story
Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton portrayed a husband and wife in the 2019 restaging of the play Betrayal — and a genuine romantic connection swiftly developed between the pair.
Although the couple have consistently praised each other’s abilities and careers, Hiddleston previously explained how his brief romance with Taylor Swift in 2016 helped him to be more cautious regarding his personal connections.
“Everyone deserves a degree of privacy,” the Loki star shared with The Telegraph in March 2017. “I am passionate about my profession and I devote myself completely to creating exceptional art and entertainment, and in my view I do not blend the two. My professional life is public, and I have a private life. And those two aspects are distinct.”
Hiddleston and Ashton publicly revealed their partnership at the Tony Awards in September 2021. A year later in March 2022, they made an appearance at the BAFTA Awards where Ashton seemed to be wearing a diamond ring. Us Weekly verified their upcoming marriage shortly afterward. Hiddleston and Ashton have since become parents to two children.
