Gaga Declares Fiancé Michael Polansky Her Artist of the Year After VMA Triumph
Following her significant triumphs at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, Lady Gaga publicly acknowledged her personal "artist of the year," her fiancé Michael Polansky.
“Conceiving this album, formulating the strategy, and actualizing every concept alongside you — engaging in countless discussions about our creations and contributions for the Little Monsters — has been an absolutely unimaginable journey,” the 39-year-old Gaga wrote in a heartfelt, uncommon Instagram post dedicated to Polansky, 41, uploaded on Monday, September 8.
The acclaimed artist — who secured four awards at the VMAs on Sunday, September 7, notably the Artist of the Year accolade — emphasized the profound impact Polansky’s steadfast support has had on her achievements.
“I adore the depth of your affection for my fans and your desire for their happiness,” Gaga went on to say. “It brings immense joy to my soul how much you cherish them, as we share in loving them daily — your commitment to ensuring people feel acknowledged in the world rivals my own.”

Gaga, whose latest album Mayhem was released in March, disclosed that Polansky has served as her unwavering pillar of strength, both in her professional life and personal life, ever since their relationship commenced.
“My gratitude is eternal for your boundless love and tireless advocacy for me,” she effused. “You labor incredibly diligently alongside me from morning to night, dedicating your every effort, passion, and vision to the music, performances, and strategic plans — witnessing its realization at every turn this year makes me the most fortunate woman in existence. My love for you knows no end.”
Gaga elaborated that Polansky’s "creative collaboration" across their artistic endeavors, business ventures, and romantic life represents "a unique and unprecedented love."

Gaga’s connection to Polansky initially surfaced on New Year’s Eve 2019, preceding their public announcement as a couple in February 2020.
The "Bad Romance" vocalist verified her engagement during her attendance at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. As shown in video clips from her encounter with French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, Gaga presented Polansky as "my fiancé."
