Gerry Turner Cheers on Ex Faith Martin's New Romance

Former Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner expressed his full support for his ex Faith Martin’s new relationship.

“I’m so delighted for you!! Cherish every moment as if it were your last,” Turner wrote in the comments section of her Instagram post on Tuesday, December 23.

Martin, 63, publicly revealed her new partner on Monday, December 22, sharing a series of photographs of the couple – including one where he gently kissed her forehead as she smiled for the camera.

“To all the women who believe they can’t endure the loneliness of being single and end up settling for a partner who isn’t truly their ideal match…” she captioned the upload. “I’m here to share that it’s worth waiting for the person who is everything to You! .”

Other Bachelor Nation personalities enthusiastically celebrated Martin’s new romance in the comments section.

“Oh my goodness!! I’m so incredibly happy for you!!!,” Leslie Fhima wrote, while Theresa Nist added, “I can’t even begin to express how thrilled I am for you, Faith!!! You look so happy and so beautiful together!! It’s absolutely wonderful! .”

Kim Buike, with whom Martin briefly connected on Bachelor in Paradise season 10, commented,
“This is such wonderful news and I’m so very, very happy for you both! .”

Bachelor Nation was introduced to Martin when she appeared on The Golden Bachelor season 1 and competed for Turner’s affection. He ultimately sent her home before the finale, where he ended his relationship with Fhima, 66, and proposed to Nist, 72. Turner and Nist subsequently married in 2024, divorcing a few months later.

In Turner’s memoir, Golden Years: What I’ve Learned from Love, Loss, and Reality TV, which was released in November, he reflected on his connection with Martin. At one point, he recalled being swept up in the moment when he declared "I love you" to her.

“Was this genuine affection? If that were the case, I didn’t want to dismiss it. On the other hand, if this was simply a powerful reaction to the warmth of Faith’s obviously loving family and the momentum of the show, I needed to determine that – and quickly. I was so confused,” he wrote. “The only thing I knew for sure was that I wanted ice cream. I love Dairy Queen … sadly, even my favorite Blizzard didn’t help me sort out my confusion.”

Turner has since found love with Lana Sutton, whom he announced his engagement to in October. In Turner’s view, taking the next step with Sutton isn’t “too soon” after his divorce from Nist.

“The suggestion that it’s too soon has never occurred to me. That question hasn’t been posed,” he said during an episode of the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast in October. “There are some things that are timeless. And I believe one of them is when you meet the right person, you don’t even consider where it fits on the timeline. It’s simply when it feels right, it’s right.”
