Gina Kirschenheiter Celebrates Five Years of Sobriety with Inspiring Message
The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member Gina Kirschenheiter is celebrating a significant personal achievement.
“January will mark five years of abstaining from alcohol for me. It has been one of the most beneficial changes I’ve ever made independently,” Kirschenheiter, 41, shared on Instagram Sunday, December 28. “I have absolutely no regrets. I strongly encourage anyone who feels something is holding them back to remove it. Let 2026 be the year you do. #alcoholfreelife #alcoholfree #sobriety #newyears resolution.”
Alongside the message, Kirschenheiter posted a series of photos accompanied by Olivia Rodrigo’s “Making the Bed.”
“An annual reminder … ” text overlayed the video. “If you dislike the path you’re on … If you don’t recognize yourself in the mirror, if you feel obstacles are preventing … You from becoming the person you’re meant to be … The person you truly are … Things that exert more control over you than you have over them, leading to poor choices and limiting your full potential, things that deplete you and what you desire from life … if you want more … MAKE A CHANGE.”

“Honestly, the most valuable advice, technique, and lifestyle adjustment for me is approaching three years sober, three years without drinking,” Kirschenheiter exclusively told Us Weekly at Simpson’s RHOC reunion viewing party in November 2024. “That is the most remarkable change and shift and improvement I’ve ever made to my life. I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone.”
Kirschenheiter explained that she “feels good” about her choice to abstain from alcohol.
“Because of how I feel, and the abundance of positivity that has entered my life since I decided to stop drinking,” Kirschenheiter said. “I would love to share that with others and simply say, ‘Look, if you’re considering stopping drinking, do it. It will genuinely transform your life for the better in every aspect.’”
“It turns out that when you cease to harm yourself, positive outcomes occur,” she continued. “Honestly, the biggest impact it had was forcing me to confront some of the issues I believe I was avoiding. Then there was the sheer toxicity of what I was ingesting that created a significant shift, followed by processing all the trauma I was trying to suppress. The combination of these two factors has been life-altering for me.”
