Gizelle and Robyn Speak Out on Wendy and Eddie Osefo's Arrests
Cast members Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon from The Real Housewives of Potomac have finally commented on the recent arrests of fellow star Wendy Osefo and her spouse Eddie Osefo.
Dixon, 46, expressed her dismay, stating, “These accusations have left me utterly shocked, taken aback, and disheartened,” during the October 27 Monday broadcast of their “Reasonably Shady” podcast.
“I share that deep disappointment,” Bryant, 55, concurred.
Dixon acknowledged the legal principle of being “innocent until proven guilty,” yet she also remarked, “Should the details within these indictment papers prove accurate, I will be profoundly let down, and then a multitude of inquiries surface, such as, ‘What was the motivation?’”

Bryant expressed her “sorrow” for the Osefo children, Karter, 12, Kruz, 10, and Kamrynn, 6. She also pondered why Eddie and Wendy would jeopardize their liberty for what she termed “superficial” possessions, while Dixon openly speculated about any different underlying reason the couple might have had for their supposed conduct.
“Because it appeared to be quite deliberate, extensively orchestrated, perhaps not wisely executed, but certainly premeditated,” she went on. “I viewed a segment where she was discussing the apparent success of [Eddie’s cannabis enterprise] Happy Eddie, which leads me to wonder, ‘Alright, was that an overstatement? Was that inaccurate?’ I’m uncertain, but it also brings up more questions of ‘why?’ Why did they believe they would evade consequences for this?”
Us Weekly verified that Wendy, 41, and her spouse, also 41, faced a grand jury indictment on October 9, accused of insurance fraud, conspiracy to commit insurance fraud, and making a false statement to law enforcement, following a purported April 2024 break-in. The Osefos had reported numerous belongings stolen from their residence and submitted insurance applications, however, authorities conducted a search of their home subsequent to their arrests and allegedly recovered a minimum of 15 items the couple had reported as lost.
“Dr. Wendy Osefo and her husband, Edward Osefo, have returned home securely to their family and are in positive spirits,” a representative for Wendy and Eddie informed Us after their release on October 10, each having posted $50,000 bail. “They appreciate the flood of worry and backing from friends, admirers, and associates. The Osefos, with their legal counsel, anticipate their court appearance. Presently, they courteously request discretion as they concentrate on their family and the forthcoming legal proceedings.”
Wendy subsequently asserted that her arrest was “unlawful” and petitioned for the dismissal of the accusations against her, citing “errors in the indictment record,” according to legal filings submitted by her attorney on October 17 and acquired by Us. She further requested that all evidence be “excluded due to an illegal search or confiscation” and that all electronic and spoken communications be “prevented from use owing to an unauthorized interception.”

“The applications submitted by our legal counsel are typical procedures initiated in all criminal proceedings within Maryland,” the television personality’s legal representatives informed Us. “These applications aim to compel prosecutors to disclose evidence in compliance with the Maryland Rules. Filing these motions early in every case is standard practice to safeguard evidence and uphold our clients’ entitlements, although not every aspect applies to every specific case.”
Wendy commented publicly on her and Eddie’s arrests two days after the legal submission, posting on Instagram with a statement regarding her beliefs.
“And despite everything, a higher power endures in faithfulness,” she penned. “I appreciate the abundance of affection, assistance, and well-wishes directed towards me and, crucially, my family during this period. Our gratitude is everlasting. Watch @bravotv this evening for a fresh installment of #RHOP.”
