Hailey Bieber Denies Reposting Video Fueling Abuse Claims in Her Marriage to Justin Bieber
Hailey Bieber has responded to allegations that she shared a video concerning tolerance of abuse within her marriage to Justin Bieber after claims went viral.
The model, 29, addressed the speculation on her Instagram Stories on Saturday, January 10, regarding the assumption that she reposted a video examining “abusive” celebrity couples.
“Hey! I realize that those who spend time online are often bored, but I did not repost any video discussing my relationship,” she wrote. “Have a beautiful Saturday!”
The TikTok video addressed several high-profile celebrity relationships that the creator asserted were romanticized because the woman “accepts mediocrity, abuse, and undertakes the majority of domestic and emotional labor in exchange for being in a relationship.”
Justin and Hailey Bieber's Complete Relationship Timeline
“There is no better illustration than Hailey Bieber and Justin Bieber,” the video continued, alleging that the couple have remained together because Hailey “will endure that abuse” from Justin, 31, with whom she shares a 16-month-old son, Jack.
Justin and Hailey began dating in 2015 before ending their relationship a year later. Following their separation, Justin briefly rekindled his on-again, off-again romance with Selena Gomez, but the singers ultimately ended things in 2018. Later that year, Justin and Hailey resumed their relationship and became engaged. They exchanged vows in a New York City courthouse in September 2018 before hosting a second wedding ceremony a year later.
Hailey has since offered insights into their marriage — including how she has supported Justin through his challenges.
“I recall calling [my mother] on several occasions, specifically one time [when] we were in Brooklyn and I was calling her, crying, and I expressed, ‘I simply can’t do it. There’s no way I’m going to be able to continue this if it’s going to be like this forever,’” Hailey explained during an episode of the “In Good Faith with Chelsea & Judah Smith” podcast in November 2021. “And I simply remember she was calm on the phone and she reassured me, ‘It’s going to improve, you’ll be fine, and he’ll be healthy, and we’re here for you.’”
She added: “But I also just felt committed. I made a decision. I am certain that I have loved this person for a considerable amount of time and now would not be the appropriate moment to abandon him. I simply wouldn’t do that to him.”
At the time, Hailey detailed her decision to persevere in a future with Justin.
“Imagine leaving someone during the most difficult period of their life, potentially. That is not the kind of person I am,” she continued. “So I was determined to see it through no matter what the outcome would be. It was incredibly challenging. There were days when I genuinely felt, ‘I don’t know if he’s going to be alright.’ Something deep within me insisted, ‘He’s going to get through this.’ I just didn’t know how long it would take.”
Being the Biebers: Justin and Hailey's Reflections on Marriage and its Difficulties
Justin has also spoken about the lessons he learned in the early years of his marriage.
“It’s a process. I remember when I first got married, I experienced a bit of an emotional crisis because I believed marriage would resolve all my problems, and it didn’t,” he told Apple Music’s Ebro Darden in May 2022. “It simply served as a reflection, like, ‘Man, you’re a bit of a hypocrite, man.’”
More recently, Hailey has refuted rumors surrounding her and Justin’s relationship. Hailey was questioned in a May 2025 profile for Vogue about the online discussion, to which she responded, “Well, I thought after seven years it would have already [subsided], and it hasn’t.”
She concluded: “You would think that after having a child, people might perhaps move on, relax a little bit. But no.”
Hailey suggested their plans to have more children. “I feel much better prepared to [have a baby] again, as opposed to how unprepared I felt when I had my first child,” she told GQ in November 2025. “And I think for me personally, there’s so much uncertainty involved, but so much happens and so much changes and you evolve in a completely different way that you could never prepare for until you actually do it.”
