Haley Kalil Shakes Off Lawsuit with Taylor Swift Dance Video
Haley Kalil seems to be moving past the controversy surrounding her legal dispute with her former husband, Matt Kalil.
Haley, 33, shared a video on Instagram on Friday, January 9, where she was dancing to Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off.” The influencer was seen wearing a form-fitting black dress and maintaining a smile as she mimicked the lyrics of the nostalgic hit.
“It’s going to be okay / Because the players will play, play, play, play, play / And the critics will criticize, criticize, criticize, criticize, criticize / Baby, I’m just going to dance, dance, dance, dance, dance / I’m shaking it off, I’m shaking it off,” she sang.
In the caption, Haley simply included a pink heart symbol.

The video appeared shortly after Matt, 36, initiated a lawsuit against his ex-wife for publicly discussing the size of his penis during a November 2025 Twitch broadcast. The former Minnesota Vikings player claimed that Haley provided “personal commentary” and brought “unwanted attention” to him. He is requesting damages exceeding $75,000, according to court documents obtained by Us Weekly on Wednesday, January 7.
Haley stated during the broadcast that the size of Matt’s manhood was a “significant factor” in their 2022 divorce.
“This occurred throughout our marriage,” she said at the time. “I tried everything – therapists, doctors [and I] researched liposuction-type procedures, you know? That’s why it’s a little humorous. It felt like my life was a comedy, and it was writing itself. It was like, he’s in the top .01 percent of the population. We attempted everything [and it was] impossible unless you were constantly crying.”
Following Haley’s comments going viral, she released a statement regarding Matt’s privacy.
“I genuinely value respecting his privacy and the integrity of what we shared together. During our broadcast, we discussed much more than what’s being highlighted – the love in our marriage, the growth we experienced, the depth of our connection,” she told TMZ Sports in November 2025. “It’s unfortunate that only one portion is being emphasized because it doesn’t reflect the complete story of how meaningful things were to me. I hope the hour-and-a-half-long conversation demonstrates more than a brief soundbite.”
Matt asserted in his Tuesday, January 6, filing that Haley’s broadcast comments forced him to “experience the continued public circulation of these degrading and deeply personal statements.” He also alleged that she was able to “financially benefit from this increase in viewership.”
Haley told Us in a statement that she was “genuinely surprised and deeply hurt” by the lawsuit.
“Legal action is a difficult and emotionally draining experience, and I am saddened that he is choosing to subject us and our families to this process,” the statement read, adding that Haley also referred to Matt as “the greatest guy in the world” during the broadcast despite her other complaints.
“The truth is in the original broadcast. I speak positively about him in numerous ways throughout that conversation,” the statement concluded.
Haley’s lawyer, Matthew Bialick, stated in a message to People on Wednesday, January 7, that the “case lacks legal merit” and that they would submit a motion to dismiss.

“The claims attempt to significantly expand existing law and establish damaging new precedent by imposing liability on a woman for simply speaking openly and honestly about a previous relationship,” Bialick told the outlet. “That raises serious First Amendment concerns, particularly in a case involving two public figures.”
Matt’s attorney, Ryan Saba, argued in a statement to Us that Haley “revealed private and intimate details about Matt Kalil that were of no legitimate public interest and subjected Matt Kalil and his family to widespread ridicule and unwanted attention.”
The statement continued, “Haley Kalil shared these sensitive personal details about her ex-husband in an apparent effort to seek wealth and recognition. Her actions were extreme, outrageous, beyond all reasonable bounds of decency, and have caused significant harm to Matt Kalil, his family, and his business.”
In a separate statement to Us, Haley’s attorney said, “The lawsuit alleges that Ms. Kalil claimed that sexual intercourse with Mr. Kalil would leave her ‘in tears.’ Allowing this allegation to form the basis of a legal claim would mean that a woman could be sued merely for truthfully describing physical discomfort during sex, which is not consistent with the First Amendment.”
