Hannah Brown Defends Presence at Charlie Kirk Memorial Amidst Political Backlash
Social media personality Hannah Brown has publicly addressed her choice to be present at the remembrance gathering held for conservative political figure Charlie Kirk.
“Firstly, I do not align with MAGA, nor was I at a MAGA event. My attendance was for a memorial honoring Charlie Kirk,” Brown stated in a TikTok clip posted on Wednesday, September 24. “[Charlie was] an individual who was tragically murdered publicly before countless witnesses. He was a husband and father whose family will now endure his permanent absence.”
She further elaborated, “Regardless of our contrasting viewpoints, [he was] a person who should not have lost his life. While I don't endorse many of Charlie's convictions, do I believe that justifies his execution by gunfire? Absolutely not, and if you hold a different opinion, then we fundamentally diverge.”
Kirk, aged 31, met his untimely demise by gunshot earlier this month while delivering a speech in Utah. The founder of Turning Point USA was subsequently honored at a public remembrance event in Arizona on Sunday, September 21, with attendees including Charlie’s wife, Erika Kirk (formerly Frantzve), President Donald Trump, and thousands of others, among them Brown.

“I was profoundly distressed last Wednesday when I accessed TikTok and was compelled to view the footage of his assassination,” Brown shared in her upload that day. “[I] became even more distraught upon reading the comments, which uniformly expressed celebration and joy over his demise. My attendance at the memorial was not intended to signify alignment with any political stances or to issue a political declaration.”
Brown emphasized that her sole motivation for being present at the service was to “honor the memory” of Charlie, recognizing him as “a human being who perished.”
“To everyone criticizing me for attending a memorial, truly heed this: A man was unlawfully killed,” she asserted. “Your agreement with his political ideologies is genuinely beside the point because, frankly, if you oppose gun violence, you cannot rejoice when an individual you dislike is shot. That makes you contradictory.”

Brown, widely recognized for her popular videos detailing the service sector, additionally stated her indifference to any potential loss of social media followers stemming from her show of support. “Should you choose to unfollow me, that is entirely acceptable,” Brown declared. “I would prefer to have no followers at all, rather than possess hundreds of thousands who delight in the death of a man whose sole aim was to express himself. However, understand that nothing you can remove from me holds true significance. That truly encapsulates my feelings on the matter. Jesus reigns.”
Brown also expressed her appreciation to “everyone who continues to stand by her” throughout the ongoing dispute.

Charlie's survivors include his wife, Erika, aged 36, along with their two offspring.
“Charlie cherished his children deeply and loved me with his entire being, a fact I was reminded of daily. He ensured I recognized that every single day,” Erika conveyed in an online declaration following Charlie’s demise, speaking out for the first time about the unfortunate event. “Each day he would inquire, ‘How can I support you more effectively? How can I improve as a husband? How can I be a superior father?’ … He was truly an exceptional man. He remains an exceptional man. He embodied the ideal father. He was the quintessential husband.”
