Heather Graham Cherishes Unique Bond With Late Heath Ledger
Heather Graham cherished her unique bond with her former partner, the late Heath Ledger — a connection that remains etched in her memory.
"I am proud of our time together," Graham, age 55, shared during the "Are You a Charlotte?" podcast's October 13 episode, recalling their relationship in 2000, years before Ledger's passing at 28 in 2008.
On the podcast, host Kristin Davis recounted witnessing the pair deeply in love over twenty years ago. The Sex and the City actress openly admired the undeniable chemistry between the former couple.
"I believe I was at a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, perhaps on Sunset Blvd., and I think you were present. And I believe you were with Heath Ledger," Davis, 60, reminisced about their chance encounter with Graham and Ledger in Los Angeles during the early 2000s.

Graham confirmed, "Yes, we were a couple. I recall us watching the series together, and I believe he genuinely enjoyed it."
The star mentioned that Ledger viewed Sex and the City alongside Graham around the period she made guest appearances on the HBO program. (Graham featured as herself in two installments in 2002 and 2003, while Davis embodied Charlotte York, one of the primary characters, across the show and its follow-up movies.)
"I recall us watching it, and he expressed, 'I can understand this,'" Graham stated on Monday, describing Ledger's reaction to the New York City-centric series.
Davis found it delightful that SATC had captured Ledger's attention, particularly as she had been captivated by him and Graham during their earlier sighting in Los Angeles.
"Back then, you two shone like a beacon in that Coffee Bean," Davis remarked about the erstwhile pair. "You were softly laughing and affectionately close. I reacted with a surprised intake of breath. I thought, 'Maintain composure.' You were charming."
Davis confessed to regretting not approaching Graham and Ledger, yet she had a valid explanation for respecting their privacy.

"I shouldn't have been so reserved, but I also felt a need to safeguard your moment, not wanting to draw notice. Because you appeared very unburdened," she explained.
Graham seemed to understand Davis's sentiment completely, responding, "I was deeply enamored with him during our relationship. He truly was remarkable."
The Boogie Nights star further commented: "I wish he were still with us. That would be wonderful. [But] some of these intensely radiant spirits aren't granted extended lives."
Graham and Ledger's romance spanned from 2000 to 2001, reportedly commencing after their introduction in Prague while Ledger was on set for A Knight’s Tale and she was filming From Hell.
After their separation, Ledger engaged in notable relationships with Naomi Watts from 2002 to 2004, and Michelle Williams, whom he encountered during the filming of 2005's Brokeback Mountain. Williams, 45, and Ledger became parents to their daughter, Matilda, in October 2005, before parting ways two years subsequent.

Ledger passed away in January 2008 due to an unintentional drug overdose. He was discovered unresponsive within his New York City residence.
Graham, for her contribution, has consistently honored Ledger's memory, frequently speaking glowingly of her former beau.
"While looking through my pictures, I came across these. Simply recalling this period. Heath Ledger was an exceptionally unique individual," Graham posted on Instagram in February 2021, featuring images from their short-lived romance.
Two years afterward, she stated on Australia's Today, "[Heath] truly infused my life with immense happiness. He possessed a deeply spiritual nature. Undeniably, he was highly gifted. I perceive him as an enchanting individual and consider myself fortunate to have experienced his presence."
