Alec and Hilaria initiated their romance in 2011, marrying the subsequent year. Together, they have become parents to seven children — Carmen, 12; Rafael, 10; Leonardo, 8; Romeo, 7; Eduardo, 5; Maria, 4; and Ilaria, 3. “Do we experience typical matrimonial disagreements? Absolutely,” she clarified. “However, it’s the mutual dedication to presence and the shared commitment to making the relationship succeed. With that foundation, I believe you can overcome any obstacle as a couple.”
Moreover, Hilaria confessed to feeling as though she “forfeited a piece of my individuality” upon marrying Alec, attributing this to his significant celebrity status, and observing that “individuals began discussing me on an unprecedented scale.”
Hilaria mentioned that some counsel she acquired from an online follower proved especially valuable.
“I shared this on my [Instagram] Stories; a woman advised, ‘It is essential to clearly define and understand your own identity, as failing to do so will result in others defining it for you, given that everyone will hold an opinion,’” she recounted. “And this wisdom didn't come from a public figure. We are all fundamentally alike, whether renowned or not, famous or otherwise. We are all human.”
