Hilary Swank can depend on her husband, Philip Schneider, to support her consistently, no matter the circumstances.
The actress and the entrepreneur married in 2018 and welcomed twins Ohm and Aya five years later, expanding their family.
“I must admit — he’s wonderful,” Swank shared with People about her spouse in June 2019. “It required a significant amount of time to find the right person. I had to go through many relationships before reaching this point. There isn't anything I would fundamentally change about him.”
The Million Dollar Baby star also revealed specifics about their private wedding ceremony.

Swank and Schneider were introduced one evening by mutual acquaintances, marking the beginning of their relationship.
“It was a blind date arranged by actor Misha Collins’ spouse, Vicki, and a different close friend, Jean. We met at 10 a.m. and departed at 11 p.m.,” Swank shared with Vogue in August 2018. “We obviously had a wonderful time!”

The pair dated for 18 months before Schneider proposed during a trip to Colorado in 2016.
“We discovered a gorgeous secluded spot high in the mountains,” Swank recounted to Vogue. “This place featured a stunning waterfall flowing into rustic cabins constructed in the 1800s, encircled by magnificent pine trees under vast skies. One evening, Philip knelt before the waterfall and asked me to marry him — he thoughtfully ensured my dogs were present to witness the event!”
Swank and Schneider were wed exactly two years later. The star of Alaska Daily had previously been married to Chad Lowe, a union that lasted from 1997 to 2007.

Swank revealed her pregnancy during an appearance on Good Morning America in October 2022. She was 48 years old at that stage.
“This is something I’ve desired for many years, and my future role is becoming a mother,” she stated during the television segment. “And not only to one child, but to two. I find it hard to believe.”
Swank confirmed the birth of her twins through an April 2023 Instagram update, which included a picture of her holding the babies while looking at a sunset.
“The process wasn’t simple. But boy (and girl!) it was entirely worthwhile,” she wrote as the caption. “Happy Easter! Sharing this from pure bliss.”
During the subsequent year, Swank discussed the extent to which her life had been transformed since she and her husband brought their infants home.
“I see everything as new once more,” she clarified during a December 2024 interview on Today. “People tell you this, but until you live through it, you question, ‘What exactly does that imply?’ Now I understand.”
Swank gained media attention in December 2025 following claims by a woman named Jada Bafus about a tense interaction with the actress at LAX airport. Bafus told the Daily Mail that she was traveling with her two sons for a Make-A-Wish excursion to Disneyland when Swank reportedly confronted her, alleging Bafus had photographed her and her twins without permission.
Bafus stated that Swank commented, “I hope you enjoy that picture,” before she “left abruptly.” Bafus added that Swank later contacted her on Instagram to apologize, clarifying that she prefers her children not to be photographed.
“I wasn't anticipating Hilary Swank speaking directly to me,” Bafus recounted. “It felt like, ‘Whoa.’ I was quite surprised.”
