Reports emerged on Wednesday, September 10, indicating that Kirk died from a gunshot wound during an event where he was speaking in Utah. He was aged 31.

“The extraordinary, even iconic, Charlie Kirk, has passed away,” President Donald Trump announced on his Truth Social platform. “No one comprehended or embodied the spirit of America’s young people with greater depth than Charlie. He garnered affection and respect from EVERYONE, particularly me, and now, he is no longer present among us."

Soon thereafter, several media outlets, such as CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News, corroborated the news of his demise.

Kirk, recognized as a conservative political organizer and the originator of Turning Point USA, was addressing an audience at Utah Valley University when reports indicated that “a lone bullet” was discharged on the university grounds from approximately 200 yards distant. He was then transported to a medical facility, where his death was officially declared.

“It is with profound sadness that we, the leadership committee of Turning Point USA, inform you that earlier this afternoon, Charlie ascended to his everlasting rest with Jesus Christ in Heaven,” Kirk’s organization, Turning Point USA, conveyed in a message to its staff and proponents, as reported by CNN.
