Hulk Hogan's Widow Approves Son Nick as Estate Manager Overseeing Millions
Melanie Sky Daily, the spouse of Hulk Hogan, informed a Florida judicial official that she approved of the deceased wrestler's son, Nick Hogan, managing his estate, which exceeds $5 million in value, as Us Weekly can reveal exclusively.
Daily, 47, submitted legal paperwork on Thursday, September 18, confirming her status as the widow of Hulk (whose birth name was Terry Bollea) and declaring her "interest in this estate as the surviving spouse."
She indicated that she relinquished her right to a hearing regarding Nick, 35, becoming a co-administrator for Hulk's estate and agreed to the formal request he had submitted. The other individual collaborating with Nick in overseeing Hulk's financial matters is Terry McCoy, a long-standing colleague of the deceased performer.
Hulk passed away on July 24 at his Clearwater, Florida residence, aged 71. His demise was attributed to acute myocardial infarction. His official death record identified him as a "professional wrestler" and indicated his cremation took place at a Florida facility.
As Us initially reported, Nick submitted his formal request on September 9. He clarified that his departed father first created his will in 2016, subsequently revising it in 2017, 2021, 2022, and for the last time in July 2023.
During the ultimate revisions to his will, formally enacted on July 28, 2023, Hulk requested that his daughter, Brooke Hogan, no longer be designated as a recipient from the estate.
Brooke Hogan Desired 'No Involvement' in Family Disputes Concerning Hulk Hogan's Finances
“In no event shall Brooke E. Bollea or any of her direct descendants be recognized as a beneficiary of my final will and testament, and any mention within this document of my children or linear descendants will specifically exclude Brooke E. Bollea and her offspring,” the legal document stated.
As Us earlier conveyed, Brooke, 37, had requested her exclusion from the will and expressed no desire for a portion of her father's assets.
After his passing, Brooke commented publicly on her celebrity father and their strained connection.
“When he departed from this world, it felt as though a piece of my soul departed with him. I sensed it prior to the news even reaching us,” Brooke stated. “… I believe he is now in a state of serenity, free from suffering, and in a place as magnificent as he envisioned. He often discussed this juncture with such awe and anticipation. As if encountering God would be the most significant triumph he could ever achieve.”
Nick’s legal filings showed that the 2021 alteration to the will excluded his former spouse, Jennifer McDaniel, as an inheritor.
Developments Regarding Hulk Hogan’s Family and Posthumous Affairs Since His Passing
In his request, Nick indicated that Hulk bequeathed $799,000 in personal assets, intellectual property appraised at $4 million, $200,000 in digital currency, and an unspecified sum for a possible medical negligence lawsuit. The petition did not account for Hulk's substantial Florida residence, valued at approximately $11 million.
TMZ disclosed that Daily is anticipated to initiate a medical negligence lawsuit concerning an operation Hulk underwent several months prior to his demise. Daily contends that the surgery was improperly performed and potentially contributed to Hulk’s death.
Daily issued a statement on social media after Hulk’s passing. She mentioned he had been contending with "health challenges," but she had been convinced he was on the path to recuperation. “I had such strong belief in his resilience,” she penned. “I believed we had more moments ahead.”
On July 27, Nick shared a thoughtful message for Daily on Instagram celebrating her birthday.
Acquaintances of Hulk Hogan Were 'Stunned' by His Passing Even With Recent Health Complications
