Irwin Siblings Carry On Crocodile Hunter's Legacy with Touching Tributes

He remains eternally cherished. Over the years since his tragic passing, Bindi Irwin and Robert Irwin have frequently honored the memory of their father, Steve Irwin.

Steve — an acclaimed wildlife conservationist and a cherished figure on television — met his untimely end at 44 in September 2006, succumbing to a stingray barb. His legacy lived on through his children and his spouse, Terri Irwin.

Despite being just 8 and 2 respectively when their father passed, Bindi and Robert have matured into proponents of his enduring work, contributing significantly and modestly. Currently, the family maintains operation of the Australia Zoo, an establishment founded by Steve’s parents in the 1970s.

Furthermore, they have recognized Steve during pivotal personal occasions, including Bindi’s marriage to Chandler Powell in 2020 and Robert's participation in Dancing With the Stars season 34 in 2025.
