Isla Fisher Embraces London Life and Family Time Post-Sacha Baron Cohen Split

Isla Fisher's upcoming holiday arrangements for herself and her children have shifted somewhat this year, coming after her separation from Sacha Baron Cohen.

“My entire family is traveling over from Greece,” the 49-year-old Fisher revealed in a Tuesday, November 25, interview with E! News.

Fisher further mentioned that she and her three offspring, whose privacy she and Baron Cohen have consistently protected, will be spending time not only with her Greek relatives but also with family members from the United Kingdom.

“My family will also be arriving from London,” she stated.

April 2024 saw Fisher and Baron Cohen, married since 2010, reveal their quiet separation in the preceding year, concluding their 13-year marital union.

“Following a lengthy tennis match spanning more than two decades, we are at last laying down our racquets,” the former couple shared in a combined social media announcement. “We jointly filed for divorce in 2023. Our privacy has always been paramount, and we have been discreetly navigating this transition. Our profound devotion and affection for our children remain constant. We genuinely thank you for honoring our family’s request for privacy.”

Their divorce was officially concluded earlier this year by Fisher and Baron Cohen.

“Our divorce proceedings are now complete. We are proud of our joint accomplishments and, maintaining our mutual respect, we continue as friends and dedicated coparents to our cherished children,” the duo stated in a June release. “We request that the media persist in respecting the privacy of our children.”

The subsequent month, Fisher spoke candidly about enduring a difficult period over the last few years.

“It’s been a challenging couple of years, but I am navigating it successfully,” the star of Now You See Me shared in a July discussion with Harper’s Bazaar. “I am genuinely looking forward to what comes next.”

Fisher's forthcoming period involves several ventures, such as her latest film Now You See Me: Now You Don’t and the impending comedy Spa Weekend.

“Before, my primary focus was on my children, which it still is, naturally, as they are my greatest affection,” Fisher informed the publication. “However, I am now finding pleasure in resuming my professional endeavors.”

Beyond her professional life, Fisher has been acclimating to her new residence in London as a single mother to three children.

“Upon its arrival, I did shed some tears, as this marked my initial experience as a single woman, inhabiting my own residence,” Fisher confessed about her emotional state during her relocation in a November conversation with Elle Decoration UK.

Besides managing her separation from Baron Cohen, Fisher was also grieving the loss of her father.

“Attempting to forge a fresh existence from a fundamental emotional standpoint has proven difficult, yet profoundly fulfilling,” she elaborated, noting her delight in “this updated iteration” of her life in London. “There's no longer a need for me to host parties at home. I relish taking a bath. I'll light a few candles, bring my laptop in, and stream something on Netflix. That constitutes my idea of excitement now.”
