Jack Osbourne Slams Roger Waters for Disrespecting His Late Father Ozzy Osbourne

Jack Osbourne did not hold back in his criticism of Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters.

“Hey @rogerwaters, go to hell,” the 39-year-old Jack wrote in an Instagram Story uploaded on Tuesday, September 2. “You’ve grown so pathetic and out of touch. It seems your only method for gaining notice lately is spewing nonsense in interviews.”

Jack then directly brought up his recently deceased father, Ozzy Osbourne.

“My father consistently believed you were an absolute scoundrel — thank you for proving him correct,” Jack further stated. In a second Instagram Stories update, Jack wrote, “#disrogerwaters.”

Memorable Incidents Involving 'Prince of Darkness' Ozzy Osbourne During His Career

Waters, aged 81, had discussed Ozzy and Black Sabbath’s musical output during a recent conversation with “The Independent Ink,” a segment of which was distributed on YouTube.

Ozzy Osbourne, who recently passed away, God rest his soul, in whatever condition he existed throughout his life, remains a mystery to us,” Waters remarked in the interview, conducted the previous month. “Despite that, he was constantly on television for ages with his foolishness and triviality, and his music. I honestly don't know, and frankly, I couldn't care less about Black Sabbath; I never have.”

Waters concluded his thoughts, saying, “I have absolutely no interest in acts like biting the heads off chickens or similar stunts. It means nothing to me.”

His statement seemed to allude to an infamous 1982 incident in Des Moines, Iowa, where Ozzy bit the head off a bat.

“I believed it to be a toy bat,” Ozzy confessed during a Night Flight episode after the event. “I picked it up and realized it was actually a live bat, you see?”

Jack Osbourne's Spouse Praises Ozzy, Her 'Coolest Father-in-Law,' Posthumously

Ozzy passed away at 76 years old on July 22, following an extended struggle with Parkinson’s disease.

“It is with profound sorrow, beyond what words can express, that we must announce the passing of our cherished Ozzy Osbourne this morning,” the family announced in a statement to Us magazine then. “He was alongside his family, enveloped in their affection. We request that everyone respect our family's need for privacy during this period.”

Jack spoke publicly about Ozzy’s demise a fortnight after his father’s death.

“I haven’t truly felt like posting anything since my father’s death. My heart has ached too deeply,” he posted on social media then. “I’ll keep this brief, as he definitely disliked lengthy, meandering speeches. He represented so much to countless individuals, yet I was incredibly fortunate and blessed to be among the select few who could call him ‘Dad.’ My heart is overwhelmed with both sadness and grief, but equally with immense love and thankfulness.”
