Jackman and Foster Ignite Red Carpet Romance at AFI Fest Debut
Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster made their highly anticipated debut as a romantic duo on the red carpet!
The 57-year-old Australian performer brought his partner to the global unveiling of his latest film, Song Sung Blue, which served as the closing feature for the yearly AFI Fest held at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood this past Sunday, October 26.
Jackman sported a classic black tuxedo, contrasting with Foster, 50, who graced the red carpet in a refined, floor-sweeping black satin dress featuring delicate spaghetti straps.
The pair radiated happiness, embracing each other as they struck poses for the photographers.

Jackman also shared the red carpet spotlight with his Song Sung Blue costar, Kate Hudson, who captivated onlookers in a flowing burnt orange silk gown. Within the movie, Jackman and Hudson portray the authentic married duo, Mike and Claire Sardina, creators of the Neil Diamond homage band, Lightning & Thunder.
Jackman and Foster, who shared the stage in the 2022 Broadway resurgence of The Music Man, seemed to validate their relationship in January. During that period, they were seen hand-in-hand during a casual evening outing in Los Angeles. Also that month, photographs emerged of them kissing in the drive-thru queue of an In-N-Out Burger establishment in San Fernando, California.
By February, an insider had exclusively revealed to Us Weekly that the celebrities were “deeply enamored” and felt “a sense of relief and joy” about publicly acknowledging their relationship after both had parted ways with their previous spouses.
“While they haven't formally moved in, they are certainly spending extensive periods in each other's company,” the source elaborated.
Foster initiated divorce proceedings from her husband, Ted Griffin, in October 2024, concluding almost ten years of matrimony. They are parents to an adopted daughter, aged 8, who joined their family in 2017.
Jackman and his former wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, publicly declared their split in September 2023, following 27 years as a couple.

In November 2024, an insider exclusively asserted to Us, “The connection between Sutton and Hugh was the catalyst for Hugh and Deb's divorce. Many within the Broadway community were aware, and we maintained discretion out of respect for their character. Their privacy was honored by all. However, an entanglement and overlap did occur.”
In May, Furness, 69, addressed her separation from the Wolverine star publicly for the first time after formally initiating divorce proceedings. (The former couple are parents to two adopted children, Oscar, 25, and Ava, 20.)
