Jamie Chung and Bryan Greenberg Rebuild Their Lives After Devastating Wildfires
Jamie Chung and Bryan Greenberg have been working to rebuild their lives following the devastating Los Angeles wildfires a year ago.
“It has been nearly a year since the Eaton fires wiped out everything,” Chung, 42, shared via Instagram on Friday, January 2. “Right after the fires, my mental well-being, overall health, and relationships were severely tested. It almost broke me. I simply didn’t have the energy to start over.”
Chung and her husband Greenberg, 47, lost their house in the fires that swept through Los Angeles in January 2025, destroying thousands of acres of land and claiming hundreds of lives.
“It felt like all hope was gone until @sacha.streg introduced me to the dream team, Cleo and McShane at @studiomurnane. They helped us thoughtfully redesign the very home I had spent the previous three years renovating,” Chung explained. “Today we were fortunate enough to review the new plans thanks to @walkyourplansla.”

According to Chung, she and Greenberg were able to “make adjustments and take notes” before construction started and the couple’s twin sons “got to see their rooms.” (The two actors welcomed their children via surrogate in 2021 and never publicly revealed their names.)
“We don’t know all the future challenges this project will bring,” the actress concluded her upload. “We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported us throughout this incredibly emotional journey. To our friends, family, home and real estate experts, architects, previous fire victims who spent hours on the phone with us and to the Altadena and Palisade community who have been the backbone.”
Chung and Greenberg, along with their 4-year-old sons, were able to see a digital rendering of the design plans before stepping into the under-construction property for a glimpse at the framed house.
Chung and the Suits: LA alum were initially able to evacuate the Los Angeles city limits when the fires began.
“Thank you to all our brave firefighters and first responders,” Chung wrote via Instagram last year. “If you’re in red alert areas, have your bags ready. Safety first. Praying for all the families affected by the fires.”
Within days, Greenberg announced via Instagram that their family’s home had been destroyed by the blaze.
“Was supposed to be our forever home, but nothing lasts forever,” Greenberg captioned footage of the rubble. “Thankfully our family is safe, however, other L.A. fire victims aren’t as fortunate. Please donate to them if you can.”

Chung and Greenberg have been together since 2012, tying the knot three years later in 2015.
“What I appreciate about Bryan is he understands the entertainment industry, but also, we’re there to support each other. It’s not a competition,” Chung exclusively told Us Weekly in December 2024 ahead of their 10th wedding anniversary. “We love each other so much and it’s just wonderful. I love being married to him.”
She added at the time, “We evolve every day. We are different people every day and I think the most important thing is to fill each other’s emotional cups, try listening to each other and show empathy and try to [be] understanding.”
