Actress Jamie King has shared her excitement regarding her dear friend Taylor Swift, who is also the godmother to King's children, and Swift's recent engagement to Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce.
“Oh my god, I am absolutely thrilled,” King, 46, exclusively revealed to Us Weekly on October 23. “It's clear, without a doubt, that he is the one. This is truly her soulmate. Yes, my heart is so full.”
Mirroring the joyous announcement made by the beloved "English teacher" and "gym teacher," King herself is reveling in her own impending nuptials, having recently confirmed her engagement to financier Austin Sosa.
“In the most wonderful sense, I view my engagement as a commitment to myself first and foremost,” King explained to Us, noting that her personal world is currently “overflowing with beautiful developments.” “For me, an engagement fundamentally signifies a profound self-love.”

She continued, “I am simply so enthusiastic about this fresh chapter in my life. The man I am set to marry, I adore with all my heart.”
King shared with Us that she and Sosa “were introduced through shared acquaintances” prior to her engagement to the investment banker earlier in the year. King admitted to Us that the proposal was entirely unexpected, disclosing that Sosa’s mother played a role in choosing her two engagement rings, one being a treasured family heirloom from Sosa's side.
Calling her future mother-in-law both a “muse” and an “angel,” King confided in Us, “she contributes significantly to everything I hold dear. She is truly the most remarkable individual — an exceptional artist, mother, person, and human being. And my affection for her runs incredibly deep.”
The star further stated, “I could never think of them as mere in-laws. They are, without question, my cherished family.”
Although King is looking forward to a lifetime with Sosa, she is taking her time regarding wedding preparations. Her primary focus remains her two sons, James Knight, 11, and Leo Thames, 9, from her previous marriage to Kyle Newman. (Their divorce was finalized in 2023.)
Meanwhile, Swift, 35, and Kelce, 36, confirmed their own engagement on August 25, posting a joint announcement on Instagram that included images from the intimate proposal. This special moment unfolded shortly after Swift's guest appearance on her fiancé's podcast, New Heights, alongside his brother Jason Kelce.

Swift furthermore elaborated on Kelce’s thoughtful proposal, informing host Graham Norton that he “absolutely nailed it.”
“He truly excelled at keeping it a complete surprise for me,” she detailed. “During our conversation on his podcast, he orchestrated the construction of an entire garden in his backyard specifically for the proposal. He spared no effort — it was a perfect 10 out of 10.”
Potentially underscoring King’s sentiment that Swift has indeed discovered “her person” in Kelce, the global superstar confessed that before her engagement, the thought of her own wedding day had never truly occupied her mind.
“One might assume I was the kind of individual who would have fixated on the concept of a wedding my entire life, but truthfully, I never contemplated what I would do or desire until I encountered the right person,” she revealed during an appearance on the U.K.’s Heart Radio in October 2025, expressing her “immense excitement” for the forthcoming chapter with Kelce.
