Jason Kelce Fasts for 48 Hours to Conquer Thanksgiving Feast
Ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, Jason Kelce initiated a fast, intending to fully indulge in his festive meal.
“I plan to feast voraciously this Thanksgiving,” the 37-year-old Jason shared with his brother, Travis Kelce, during the “New Heights” podcast episode released on Wednesday, November 26. “I’m feeling a bit guilty about my recent diet since I consumed numerous egg rolls and various other less-than-ideal foods while visiting Disney World. Following that, in Wisconsin, I devoured prime rib and an ice cream beverage.”
These recent eating patterns led Jason to observe an increase in his body weight.
“Consequently, I’ve started a fast, and I’m approximately 36 hours into it,” the former NFL center stated, mentioning that he and his friend Marcus Spears collaboratively chose to undertake this fast. “I believe prolonged periods without food can be detrimental to health. However, it seems that if done correctly, it can be beneficial, though I’m not entirely sure.”

Jason specified that his fasting regimen would last for only 48 hours, concluding before the holiday on Thursday, November 27.
“I need to make an effort, and I’ve been consuming a lot of caffeine and other items to keep my mind off food,” he joked. “I anticipate I could consume an entire turkey on my own.”
Travis, 36, interjected with a jest, suggesting his brother is typically the sole consumer of the turkey regardless.
“When it’s fried, everyone partakes,” Jason retorted. “Kylie [Kelce] is responsible for the cranberry sauce. Her mother and she also prepare a turkey. I simply become a major hindrance on Thanksgiving because Kylie and her mom handle all the cooking. Rather than supervising the children, I head next door to deep-fry a turkey with [dad] Ed [Kelce]. For that hour, I am entirely unhelpful and contributing an unnecessary additional turkey.”
Jason and Kylie, 33, are set to host a Thanksgiving gathering at their residence in Pennsylvania. The pair, wedded since 2018, are parents to four girls: Wyatt, age 5; Ellie, age 4; Bennett, age 2; and Finn, born in March.

“Kylie’s family will be joining us, and we have four children,” Jason mentioned regarding his arrangements. “I’ll be tasked with managing these youngsters. It’s going to be an extended day.”
Kylie additionally provided insight into their holiday meal preparations during the Tuesday, November 25, installment of her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast.
“Usually, my mother and I prepare the turkey, and frankly, I think my mom handles the carving,” Kylie shared on her podcast. “Jason has taken on turkey cooking responsibilities for the past two years. He manages the deep-frying of the turkey. He put forth a commendable effort, but if you were to inquire whether the entire bird was fit for consumption, the response might be negative. He did appear charming while doing it, however.”
Travis, conversely, will not partake in his family’s celebrations due to the Kansas City Chiefs having a football game scheduled for Thursday.
“I’ll be on the field, followed by a flight returning to Kansas City,” Travis stated on Wednesday, alluding to the Chiefs’ away match against the Dallas Cowboys. “It’s likely I’ll miss out on a Thanksgiving dinner, unless we achieve victory and I manage to get some turkey on the field.”
