Jennifer Garner and John Miller Cozy Up for the Holidays
Jennifer Garner and her longtime boyfriend, John Miller, are enjoying a festive holiday season.
Garner, 53, and Miller, 47, were observed exchanging a Christmas cookie tin outside a dark-colored vehicle on Monday, December 22, in images obtained by the Daily Mail. While Miller chose a beige sweater paired with jeans, Garner looked equally comfortable in a gray sweatshirt and black leggings.
Garner and Miller, who have rarely spoken about their relationship, have been together on and off since 2018.
“John is essentially living with Jennifer part-time,” a source exclusively revealed to Us Weekly in April, noting the businessman relocated out of his Los Angeles residence months before the devastating wildfires in January. “He maintains an office in L.A. and divides his time between staying there and at Jennifer’s home.”
Jennifer Garner and John Miller: A Timeline of Their Relationship
According to the insider, Miller was residing at Garner’s place “more frequently” than he had in previous years.
“He has been staying with Jennifer more often,” the source told Us. “[He] doesn’t want to be a burden, so he’s searching for his own place… [and] deciding whether he’ll rent or purchase.”
Miller was previously married to Caroline Campbell, with whom he shares two children, before beginning a relationship with Garner. The Alias actress, for her part, was married to actor Ben Affleck for 10 years until their 2015 divorce. They now co-parent children Violet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 13.
“I’m incredibly fortunate to have a really good coparent and partner in Jennifer Garner, the children’s mother, who’s wonderful and supportive,” Affleck, 53, told GQ in a March profile. “We collaborate well together.”
Garner’s close friendship with Affleck has also not caused any issues with Miller.

“He isn’t envious and understands Jennifer prioritizing her children,” a second source told Us in March. “[John] spends nights at her home frequently. The way he speaks about her is consistent. There are no indications of a change in their relationship status.”
A third insider, meanwhile, noted to Us that Garner will always have “a special affection” for Affleck because he is the father of her children.
“She will always be there for him, but there is nothing romantic happening,” the third source said.
In the years following their divorce, both Affleck and Garner have been open about what went wrong in their marriage — and how they managed to remain friendly.
“I’m truly lucky that I have a really good coparent and partner in Jennifer Garner, the kids’ mom, who’s wonderful and great,” Garner previously told Vanity Fair in 2016. “I married him and I would go back and make that decision again. I ran down the beach to him and I would once more. You can’t have three children and so much of what we had,” Garner previously told Vanity Fair in 2016. “He’s the most brilliant person in any room, the most charismatic, the most generous.”
She added at the time, “He’s just a complex man. I often say, ‘When his sun shines on you, you feel it.’ But when the sun is shining elsewhere, it’s cold. He can cast quite a shadow. … It’s not Ben’s job to make me happy. The most important thing is these children — and we’re completely aligned regarding what we hope for them.”
