During a conversation with Jinger, 31 — whom he wed in November 2016 — Jeremy disclosed merely a selection of the questions he was compelled to address even before a simple coffee meeting with the former star of Counting On.

“This process certainly accelerated [our relationship] significantly,” Jinger clarified. “Eventually, [my father] allowed me to review it, and surprisingly, it provided me with greater comfort learning more about you.”

Having gained public recognition from 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On, Jinger mentioned her parents harbored concerns that certain suitors might be interested in their daughters for inappropriate motives.

Through the extensive 60-page survey, both Michelle Duggar and Jim Bob Duggar aimed to gain a clearer understanding of potential courtships for their daughters.

“When such a thorough screening process is in place, it can certainly be daunting,” Jinger admitted to Jeremy. “It served as a beneficial discussion for him to have with you. … I am truly pleased you sought me out. You successfully navigated it. In our cultural context, it represents a significantly higher degree of commitment before truly getting to know someone, and that poses a challenge.”
