Joe Giudice Approves of Teresa's Reconciliation with Her Brother

Joe Giudice appears to be in a forgiving mood.

The 53-year-old former Real Housewives of New Jersey personality shared his candid thoughts with Us Weekly regarding his ex-wife, Teresa Giudice's, recent reconciliation with her estranged brother, Joe Gorga, and sister-in-law, Melissa.

“I am aware they gathered on Saturday evening,” Joe verified to Us during a phone conversation on Monday, November 3, regarding the three's get-together, adding that he suspects Teresa’s current husband, Luis Ruelas, participated in the meeting as well.

Giudice confessed to not knowing the results of their meeting but expressed his desire for harmony for his former spouse and her relatives.

“Ultimately,” he conveyed to Us, “he remains her brother.”

Giudice suggested Teresa reconcile with her 51-year-old sibling for the benefit of their offspring.

“He is her sole brother,” he recounted. “Furthermore, the cousins are not communicating… which is improper.”

Giudice is a father to four daughters with Teresa: Gia, 24, Gabriella, 21, Milania, 19, and Audriana, 16. His estranged in-laws, Joe and Melissa, 46, have three children: daughter Antonia, 20, and sons Gino, 18, and Joey Gorga Jr., 15.

Giudice, confessing to his own tendency to bear resentments, also gave his former partner some unprompted counsel.

“Ultimately, you know what? I mean, just move past it, because what else can be done?” he stated, addressing the siblings’ prolonged disagreement.

Teresa's connection with her brother and sister-in-law, married since 2004, has been persistently tumultuous. Their disagreements have been a recurring theme across multiple seasons of RHONJ, causing tension among their co-stars.

The reality television personality recently discussed her reconciliation with Joe and Melissa during an appearance on Jennifer Aydin’s podcast, TV Gold.

“Indeed, I simply took small steps. What prompted me to do this began, you know, with my time on Special Forces, being away with Gia, and then Gia encouraged me to release past grievances with her father. As I pondered that, my thoughts then turned to my brother, and then there’s an occurrence that has transpired over the past few years or so,” Teresa explained on the podcast.

She additionally shared a poignant exchange involving her and her brother’s youngest offspring, which deeply moved her.

“For example, in one of these situations, Audriana encountered young Joey at a celebration, and upon seeing one another, their eyes welled up. I believe they embraced, and it was truly touching. Then Joey conveyed to Audriana his wish to send Gia a message, which, you know, profoundly affected me,” Teresa articulated.

Even after their divorce, Giudice informed Us that his relationship with his former wife remains amicable.

“She still, you know, perceives herself as married to me,” he quipped.

Currently, Giudice resides in the Bahamas and is enjoying a fulfilling relationship.

He mentioned that he and his partner have discussed the possibility of cohabitation, and upon being questioned about his openness to remarriage, Giudice replied, “I suppose, ultimately, I would.”
