JoJo Siwa shared a health update following her hospitalization due to "agonizing pain" caused by a ruptured ovarian cyst.
“Basically, for the past few days, whenever I danced, walked, or did anything, my stomach would ache intensely,” the 22-year-old Siwa revealed on TikTok on Saturday, November 29. “I wasn't sure why, but the pain would subside, so I thought, ‘Oh, perhaps it's just my period, maybe a cramp, I'm not certain.’”
This recent episode of abdominal discomfort hit at a particularly inconvenient moment, as Siwa was slated to perform at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota, on Friday, November 28.
Fans expressed concern after Siwa disclosed on Instagram that she was "hospitalized" just before her scheduled performance.

Through her TikTok video, Siwa recounted attempting to nap prior to her Mall of America gig, hoping to alleviate the pain — only to find her condition rapidly deteriorated.
“I reclined, shut my eyes, and instantly felt like, ‘I can't breathe,’” she recounted.
Subsequently, Siwa attempted to sit in her hotel bathtub, hoping it might soothe her muscles, but the pain only grew more severe.
“That exacerbated it a hundredfold,” Siwa stated. “I was in there for perhaps four minutes, and suddenly I thought, ‘I must get out right away,’ because I feared I would faint and felt nauseous.”
Experiencing intense agony, Siwa informed her mother, dance instructor Jessalynn Siwa, of her dire condition, prompting their decision to seek medical attention. She recalled that the initial 9-1-1 responders “weren’t sure what the problem was” since her vital signs appeared “normal.”
Nevertheless, medical professionals at a nearby hospital ultimately determined that “a cyst on one of her ovaries had ruptured, causing bleeding into her abdomen.”
“That was the source of the unbearable pain — whenever the internal bleeding in your stomach shifts, that's what it is,” Siwa explained to her TikTok audience. “It’s severe discomfort. In essence, the condition should resolve naturally. It ought to cease autonomously.”
