Jon Gosselin's Tumultuous Love Life: A Look Back at His Romantic Past
Regarding matters of the heart, ex-reality personality Jon Gosselin has undoubtedly navigated numerous highs and lows.
From 1999 until their separation in 2009, Jon was wed to his former spouse, Kate Gosselin, and together they have eight offspring. While the Gosselins' union concluded amidst allegations of Jon's infidelity, he consistently refuted these assertions.
Subsequently, Jon pursued relationships with multiple women prior to his engagement to Stephanie Lebo in 2024. During that period, Jon shared with The U.S. Sun, “Our joy and affection for each other are profound. We feel completely at ease together; it simply works. Moreover, our social circles are unified, rather than being divided into ‘your friends’ and ‘my friends.’”
Yet, this contentment has not deterred him from remarking on his former wife's romantic endeavors. In 2025, Jon posted an image of Kate and her alleged partner, Steve Neild, on Instagram, with the caption, “Discover who truly sabotaged our marriage. See for yourselves.”

He further stated: “Perhaps now, when I vocalize my thoughts, people will finally heed them!!!”
Their son, Collin, also leveled accusations of dishonesty against his mother. “I hereby formally invite my mother to undergo a lie detector test lol,” he posted on his Instagram Story in 2025. “Afterward, we will ascertain who has been directly deceiving the public. I am absolutely earnest about this, by the way.”

Kate Gosselin
Jon and Kate exchanged vows in June 1999. The couple, along with their children, featured in Discovery Health specials and achieved nationwide recognition when their reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8 premiered on TLC in April 2007.
The program chronicled the couple's existence with their offspring: twins Cara and Mady, and sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah, and Joel.
Despite Jon and Kate reaffirming their marriage vows in August 2008, they declared their separation in June 2009 — several months following the emergence of rumors suggesting Jon's involvement in an affair. During a September 2009 segment on ABC’s Primetime: Family Secrets, Jon asserted that Kate was abusive. In his own words, “I endured abuse. I sought therapeutic help.”
Jon further chose to cease filming their family program, which was rebranded Kate Plus 8 in October 2009 subsequent to TLC suing him for contract violation. Jon initiated a $5 million counterclaim against the network in November 2009, but TLC succeeded and won the legal dispute in December of that year.
In July 2009, Kate informed People regarding the breakup, “Some days I experience a sense of liberation. Other days, I feel a sense of defeat. I have never abandoned anything in my existence. It feels as though I’ve been unsuccessful. It is challenging. This marks the initial battle I have confronted in solitude. Truly, utterly alone.”
She proceeded: “It was a continuous series of occurrences that led me to acknowledge: This individual is no longer the one I wed. I recall simply observing him and contemplating, ‘I would not elect to marry this precise person currently … thus, what is my purpose here?’ Our aspirations no longer align, our visions no longer coincide, our concepts no longer correspond.”
Jon and Kate concluded their divorce proceedings in December 2009. Kate’s choice to participate in Dancing With the Stars the subsequent year seemingly incited Jon to seek legal guardianship of their eight offspring, with his attorney characterizing Kate as “an absent mother” as she practiced for the program in the lower level of the residence she shared with their children. Back then, Kate’s then-legal representative Mark Momijan informed RadarOnline, “No official documentation has reached us thus far, but I cannot conceive of anything further from reality. Kate is a committed parent. Her dedication to her children's well-being is so evident that any accusations akin to those in this report are irresponsible and profoundly inaccurate, making them offensive.”
Kate initiated her own lawsuit against Jon in August 2013, alleging he employed “illicit hacking” to furnish author Robert Hoffman with material for his publication Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled the World. She withdrew the legal action in November 2013.
In January 2016, Jon informed Steve Harvey that he had not “observed all of [his] children collectively in approximately three years.” Twin daughters Mady and Cara addressed People in retort in August 2016, with Mady clarifying then, “He creates the impression that we are being withheld from him, which is absurd. Perhaps he ought to devote some effort to contemplating why we choose not to engage with him, and possibly come to understand that should he ever desire a connection with us, discussing us on television is not the method to achieve that.”
In April 2018, Jon disclosed he possessed custody of their daughter Hannah and declared his intent to also seek guardianship of Collin, who was residing in a youth treatment facility at that point. Collin relocated to live with Hannah and Jon in December 2018.
Subsequent to Kate's announcement of a new romantic involvement, allegedly with the family's former security guard, Neild, in September 2025, Collin alleged that his mother had an affair with Neild in 2009. Neither he nor Hannah were visible in the images Kate posted on social media during the celebration of the sextuplets’ 21st birthday in May 2025.
Deanna Hummel
In May 2009, five individuals, among them two family members of Deanna Hummel, informed Us that she and Jon had engaged in an extramarital relationship. The elementary school teacher’s sibling Jason communicated to Us, “She is a pleasant person, not someone who breaks up homes. He is an untrustworthy storyteller. This situation is detrimental to her well-being. However, she is unwilling to aid herself, so I am attempting to assist her personally. I trust this will clarify matters.”
Stephanie Santoro
In September 2009, Stephanie Santoro, who previously served as the Gosselin family's nanny, asserted that she and Jon had a romantic liaison. Santoro revealed to In Touch Weekly that she was employed by the household for a single month, and within that period, Jon invited her to his residence and provided her with a massage. She further recounted Jon saying to her, “I suppose a single kiss is permissible” and “Under no circumstances should you develop feelings for me, as it will be inevitable for me to develop feelings for you.” Jon refuted these claims.
Kate Major Lohan
Similarly, in September 2009, Kate Major (presently Lohan), a former journalist for Star, stated she and Jon shared a brief romantic entanglement after his separation from Kate — a relationship Jon has also disputed. “I am willing to undergo a polygraph examination, and I would appreciate Jon doing the same, as his assertion of no romantic involvement is an outright falsehood,” she communicated to HLN’s Showbiz Tonight, according to People.
She continued: “Were I able to converse with Kate Gosselin, I absolutely would. I believe we would discover much common ground, and I empathize with her. I perceive her as certainly adopting a dignified stance in this situation, and I am certain it is exceptionally challenging, and the very last thing I desire is for any of his children to witness this, but then again, I am not the custodial figure.”
Hailey Glassman
Hailey Glassman, a friend of the family who is a decade younger than Jon, and the erstwhile reality television personality were romantically involved sometime after his divorce from Kate, until their separation in December 2009. In March 2011, Glassman informed RadarOnline that Jon had, on one occasion, tried to extort Kate.
She stated: “We were in bed, and Jon telephoned Kate on speakerphone. He jotted down his intended message to her and subsequently recited it from his written notes. He conveyed to her, ‘Either provide me with funds or I will contact [Child Protective Services].’”
Glassman further elaborated, “Kate began to shriek, and Jon merely started to chuckle. He simply laughed at her. Afterward, once he ended the call, I inquired of him, ‘What exactly are you doing? What is your motivation for this? She is the parent of your eight offspring!’ To which he responded, ‘Ah, you have no comprehension of my experiences with her, the difficulties I had to confront.’”
In retort, Jon posted on X (formerly Twitter), “Radar Online has once more fallen victim to deception by Hailey Glassman, who seemingly lacks employment and is in dire need of funds. This publication contains an immeasurable number of falsehoods. It is entirely untrue and possesses no validity whatsoever.”
Morgan Christie
Speculation regarding Jon’s romantic involvement with then-law student Morgan Christie emerged in January 2010. The couple jointly attended the Sundance Film Festival that same month, but Morgan concluded their relationship in March 2010.
Liz Jannetta
Jon and Liz Jannetta, a parent to three children, first encountered each other in February 2012. In May of that year, she shared with Inside Edition, “I did not view the program. Any information I possessed about Jon originated from sensationalist newspapers. Specifically, Jon the philanderer.” The couple remained together for a span of two years, throughout which they featured in the fourth installment of VH1’s program Couples Therapy. Their separation occurred in 2014 subsequent to Jon stating on the program, “When Liz derides me and departs, it mirrors Kate. That is precisely my sentiment.”
Colleen Conrad
Jon publicly declared his romantic engagement with nurse practitioner Colleen Conrad in mid-2014. The couple maintained a relationship for seven years until their breakup in August 2021, which transpired four months after Conrad received a breast cancer diagnosis. “We were experiencing persistent difficulties preceding our separation and her diagnosis, thus our relationship was troubled for an extended period, and we wished to avoid any additional strain during her medical care,” Jon recounted on The Dr. Oz Show. “Therefore, we concluded it was most appropriate to terminate our romantic involvement and concentrate on our platonic bond, assisting her through her treatment.”

Stephanie Lebo
Jon and Lebo disclosed their romantic involvement in August 2023, informing The U.S. Sun that they commenced dating subsequent to his separation from Conrad. “He had arranged for a creme brûlée cheesecake to be present for me upon my arrival, an exceptionally thoughtful gesture, but as I dislike cheese, it presented a rather amusing scenario,” Lebo shared with the publication regarding their initial outing.
Lebo further mentioned that the two connected through discussions of their previous romantic experiences. “Our shared experiences are extensive, as both of us have been involved with individuals who were not ideal partners, but we would not fully value our current bond without those prior encounters,” she clarified.
Jon and Lebo publicly declared their engagement in December 2024. He subsequently informed Entertainment Tonight that he “would unequivocally” extend invitations to his alienated children for their nuptials.
