Jordyn Woods and Karl-Anthony Towns Are Officially Engaged!
Jordyn Woods and her boyfriend, Karl-Anthony Towns, are set to marry after dating for five years.
“A very Merry Christmas 🎄❤️💍,” Woods, 28, announced via Instagram on Thursday, December 25, sharing images of Towns, 30, proposing on a balcony.
The model and the NBA player were acquaintances for years before their relationship became romantic in May 2020. They officially confirmed their romance in September 2020, sharing photos together on Instagram.
“Jordyn and I met years ago through mutual connections and simply became friends,” Towns explained on Woods’ Instagram series Regular-ish in 2021. “And ever since then, our connection deepened where we became more than friends. I’m not saying it in a specific way, but just close friends. And then we began developing a more profound relationship.”

He added: “It just so happened, Covid arrived and presented its challenges and it kind of compelled us to decide where our relationship was headed as friends or something more. And we chose the latter.”
In November 2023, Woods discussed the lasting nature of her relationship with Towns, attributing their success to the “companionship and confidence” they have shared since before they started dating.
“We were really good friends before we began dating, and Covid gave us that extra time in our lives to truly get to know each other because many people don’t really have the opportunity to know each other before entering a relationship,” she told People at the time.

Woods further explained that the difficult times in their lives allowed them to evolve together. “So, we’ve experienced a lot together,” she continued. “We’ve seen each other in various circumstances, moments, and phases, so I believe we have a very solid foundation.”
Towns, for his part, noted in a February 2024 interview with People that Woods’ support “on a daily basis” — whether related to his basketball career or not — “means a great deal to me.”
He added: “You know, with my mom and my sister, I’ve witnessed the impact that strong women have on men’s lives, and I’m simply grateful that I observed that firsthand before I started a relationship with Jordyn so that I could learn to value her.”
Towns previously suggested that an engagement was in the couple’s future when he dismissed critics in March 2021, writing via X at the time, “The same people criticizing us now will be the same ones celebrating when I propose.”
