Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker Put Divorce on Hold for Festive Family Christmas
Kandi Burruss and her estranged husband, Todd Tucker, presented a united front to commemorate the holidays as a family.
“Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!!! Hoping that everyone is enjoying their Christmas!”, the Real Housewives of Atlanta alumna, 49, wrote via Instagram on Thursday, December 25.
Burruss included a photograph of herself, Tucker, 52, and their loved ones dressed in festive pajamas. The group smiled for the camera as they gathered around the Christmas tree.
Burruss and Tucker share son Ace, 9, and daughter Blaze, 6. The Xscape singer is also mother to daughter Riley, 23, whom she welcomed during a previous relationship. Burruss is also stepmother to Tucker’s daughter Keala, 25.

Last month, Burruss announced that she and Tucker were splitting after 11 years of marriage.
“After considerable thought and a lot of prayer, I’ve made the decision to move forward with a divorce. This is a difficult and emotional time, but my focus remains on protecting my peace, being the best mother I can be, and co-parenting with love and respect,” Burruss said in a statement to Us Weekly in November. “I’m stepping into a new chapter focusing on my work, my family and my own growth. I’m grateful to everyone who supported us throughout the years, and I ask for privacy, grace and understanding as we navigate this transition with our family.”
Tucker subsequently filed a request for primary custody of his and Burruss’ children. Burruss, for her part, asked the court for all filings, testimony and other evidence to be sealed.
Days after revealing her and Tucker’s separation, Burruss spoke openly about how she was doing.
“My life has been going crazy lately,” Burruss revealed during an Amazon Live broadcast. “I’m going to be very honest with you, I am up and down. Obviously, going through a divorce is definitely not the easiest thing. Sometimes you’re doing well, you’re active, you’re mixing, you’re active, you’re spending time with friends. But then sometimes you have your moments of sadness. And me being the Taurus that I am, I like to keep those moments to myself.”
Earlier this month, Burruss shared that she and Tucker had plans to celebrate Christmas together despite their ongoing divorce.
“Y’all already know I’m going through a divorce, but we have decided that we are still going to do Christmas together,” Burruss shared during a December 15 episode of her Amazon Live broadcast. “Even though we have all this difficulty going on right now, we still gonna do it together for our kids, so we are spending Christmas in New York.”

Burruss chose to remain in New York City for the holidays instead of traveling to her hometown of Atlanta due to work commitments. She is currently portraying Angélique in the Broadway musical, & Juliet. The musician mentioned that her kids were “excited” to spend Christmas somewhere new.
While Burruss has been hard at work, she discussed how it’s been a challenge to miss out on her children’s milestones as they’ve remained in Atlanta during her stage performances.
“My daughter Blaze had her dance recital yesterday,” Burruss said. “But she did really well. My mom went. Carmen went. The whole group was there and Todd was there.”
