Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker Share Thanksgiving Together Post-Divorce Announcement
Former stars of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker, are managing to remain amicable during the holiday season.
Burruss, aged 49, shared glimpses of her Thanksgiving Day celebrations on Instagram on Thursday, November 27, featuring a group picture with her daughter Riley, 23, her sons Ace, 9, and Blaze, 6, and her mother, “Mama” Joyce Jones.
“Happy Thanksgiving! I genuinely had a wonderful day with my family. I trust you did too! Now I feel as full as a turkey and need to rest. ” Burruss wrote alongside the image.
A number of followers promptly observed the absence of Burruss’ separated husband, Tucker, who is the biological father of Ace and Blaze, from the picture; however, she used the comments to explain that he was present for the Thanksgiving meal.

“Before anyone jumps to conclusions, Todd arrived sooner to dine with us, but he was not present for the photograph. He was not excluded or anything of that nature,” stated the Kandi Koated entrepreneur.
Observers also pointed out that even though Tucker was not in the photo, his daughter Kaela, from a prior relationship, was visible with Burruss and her relatives.
“It’s great that Kaela is still involved regardless. True family,” one admirer commented.

Burruss and Tucker ended their marriage after 11 years, a fact the RHOA personality confirmed in an official statement to Us Weekly on November 21.
“Following considerable deliberation and much prayer, I have chosen to proceed with a divorce. This period is challenging and emotionally taxing, yet my priority is preserving my inner calm, excelling as a mother, and co-parenting with affection and consideration,” Burruss articulated. “I am embarking on a fresh phase, dedicating myself to my career, my relatives, and my personal development. I extend my thanks to all who have stood by us over the years, and I request discretion, compassion, and empathy as our family navigates this shift.”
During an Amazon Live broadcast on Monday, November 24, Burruss spoke candidly about the divorce, conceding that it had been “developing for some time.”
“To be completely frank, my emotions are fluctuating,” she stated. “Clearly, experiencing a divorce is far from simple. There are moments when you feel fine, you're active, socializing, and spending time with friends.”

“Yet at other times, feelings of melancholy emerge. And, as a typical Taurus, I prefer to keep those periods private,” Burruss went on. “Therefore, all the instances you’ve observed me online [appearing cheerful] are misleading. I’ve been enduring a tough time, believe me. I’ve been struggling. Life has certainly been challenging.”
“Occasionally, relationships simply don’t succeed. That’s just how it is,” she further explained, mentioning that she and Tucker are maintaining a “highly cordial” relationship for their children’s welfare.
The announcement of Burruss and Tucker’s divorce surfaced merely seven days after she paid tribute to her separated spouse upon receiving the Wifetime Achievement Award at BravoCon 2025’s The Bravos event in Las Vegas.
“To Todd, I appreciate you enduring the gossip sites, the criticism, the speculation, the falsehoods, the realities, the near altercations, the real disputes, and the reunions,” she declared. “You also deserve this recognition.”
