Kat Izzo Caught in Love Triangle Controversy Amidst Secret iPad Communications on Bachelor in Paradise

A supposed hidden romantic partner of Kat Izzo has become the focal point of controversy during the tenth season of Bachelor in Paradise.

Several months following her breakup with John Henry Spurlock from Bachelor in Paradise season 9, Kat, currently 29 years old, introduced her new relationship with her boyfriend, Zac Cooper.

“I'm just as surprised as you are,” Kat stated in an Instagram post from July 2024, which has since been removed, featuring photos with Zac.

Personalities from Bachelor Nation promptly endorsed Kat, as former Bachelorette Charity Lawson commented, “I wholeheartedly approve, welcome to the crazy family @zaccopper.” Her Bachelor in Paradise season 9 castmate Kylee Russell also expressed, “I adore everything about this for you.”

During her visit to the Us Weekly studio in September 2024, Kat brought her boyfriend at the time and was openly enthusiastic about him.

“We formally, I suppose, became a couple in June,” Kat revealed then. “It's still early days, but we’ve spent a significant amount of time together and developed a very strong bond during that period. It’s been wonderful.”

Kat mentioned that Zac hails from her hometown in Florida, suggesting that holiday celebrations would be "quite convenient," and observed that the pair share "many similarities." When questioned about the prospect of an engagement, Kat indicated they are "proceeding very cautiously."

“My attention had been heavily dedicated to my personal healing and professional endeavors,” she explained regarding her state of mind prior to meeting him. “It's a familiar saying, but when you're not actively searching, that’s truly when someone enters your life. I believe I was investing so much into my own well-being, in a positive manner, which then allowed the divine or the cosmos to bring in individuals who resonated with me.”

Almost a year after making her relationship public, Kat’s participation in Bachelor in Paradise season 10 was announced, causing viewers to assume she and Zac had separated before production began.

Kat subsequently began a romantic involvement with Dale Moss amidst the Costa Rican shores. As season 10 broadcasted, fellow competitor Allyshia Gupta alleged during an August installment of “The Viall Files” podcast that she and Sean McLaughlin engaged in a "discussion" with Kat's previous partner. It remains uncertain if this ex-boyfriend is Zac, as Allyshia, 30, refrained from disclosing any names.

“Her then-boyfriend expressed, ‘You won’t believe who betrayed me.’ He informed us that she had been dispatching him romantic notes from the very start of her time in Paradise,” Allyshia asserted. “She managed to bring her iPad in surreptitiously, dispatching messages to support him, such as, ‘This should sustain you until I return from Paradise,’ which is, frankly, astounding.”

Although host Nick Viall stated he had no knowledge of the iPad incident, he claimed that an acquaintance had "certain revelations about Kat," including supposed efforts to correspond with a partner outside the show. “I heard she managed to write some messages on her arm for him,” Nick, 44, remarked.

Allyshia commented that she "wouldn't choose Kat" for companionship, further stating, “She is untruthful.”

At that point, Us Weekly attempted to contact Kat for her statement.

Although Sean and Allyshia eventually withdrew themselves, Kat and Dale continue their journey on Bachelor in Paradise, competing for a grand prize of $500,000 cash alongside their peers: Alexe Godin and Andrew Spencer, Kathy Swarts and Keith Gordon, Jess Edwards and Spencer Conley, and Bailey Brown and Jeremy Simon.
