Kate Gosselin Shares First Name of Boyfriend Steve and Details Grueling Surgery
Kate Gosselin is gradually sharing more information about her romantic life.
Gosselin, 50, reportedly mentioned her boyfriend's first name, "Steve," during a TikTok live session on Tuesday, September 30, as reported by Parade. The former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star's partner was present in her hospital room as she communicated with fans online regarding an operation she underwent for a "life-altering" injury inflicted by one of her dogs, the publication stated.
Gosselin disclosed her hospitalization through TikTok in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
"Please send prayers for me tonight and tomorrow," she captioned a photo of an IV in her arm. "I will recover, but I'm fearful and would be grateful for your prayers! Thanks, everyone."

Gosselin added in the description, "Emergencies don't consider schedules! Please DO NOT fret about me! Please pray [instead]!"
Subsequently, the TLC personality disclosed that she had surgery and was on "five pain medications (among the top 3 most excruciating surgeries)."
During her live broadcast, Gosselin revealed that her puppy, Meika, "collided with me at full speed, resulting in a tibial plateau fracture and surgery with plates and pins in my leg," referring to a knee injury.
Gosselin stated that a physician described her injury as "transformative."
"I have a cold therapy unit, and, honestly, I adore it," she continued. "I'd suggest my insurance purchased it but, let's be realistic, I likely paid for it. They're letting me take the ice machine home."
Despite having the "ice machine," Gosselin mentioned that she is still experiencing considerable pain.
"My leg is really throbbing, I'm going to need to address it," she informed viewers. "It's, like, impossible to overlook."
Gosselin's hospital stay occurred days after she confirmed she had been in a relationship "for the past year to a little over a year, perhaps around 14, 15 months."
"I am incredibly, incredibly happy. It's someone I've known for a very long time and I am exceedingly pleased," she shared in a TikTok Q&A on September 22.
Gosselin did not disclose her boyfriend's identity at the time, explaining, "He doesn't particularly wish to appear in TikToks. Can't really blame him, I suppose, but you might catch a glimpse of him now and then going forward."

Indeed, Gosselin's boyfriend, whom Page Six identified as her former security guard Steve Neild, made a subtle appearance in a recent livestream when he brought the mother of eight a coffee.
"Hello to my significant other," she said.
Amidst the discussion surrounding Kate's relationship, her former husband, Jon Gosselin — with whom she shares twins Mady and Cara, 24, and sextuplets Hannah, Collin, Aaden, Leah, Joel and Alexis, 21 — asserted that Neild played a role in the dissolution of their marriage in 2009.
"Guess who truly ended the marriage," Jon, 48, posted on Instagram on September 24 alongside a picture of Kate and Neild, as well as a screenshot of the Page Six article. "Read it for yourselves."
He further added in the caption, "Perhaps when I speak, people will finally pay attention now!!!"
