Katelynn Ordone Steps Away From Social Media Amidst Grief
Katelynn Ordone is taking a break from social media several months after the passing of her 2-year-old son, Preston.
“Most of you are aware that I’ve obviously been really struggling emotionally since losing my son Preston [in] April of this year,” Ordone shared via Instagram on Friday, December 26. “I wanted to let everyone know that I’ve decided to step away for my mental well-being. I realized that I never really allowed myself to take a pause from the beginning. Perhaps that’s what I needed for my healing process at the time. But where I’m at right now is I’m really having difficulty with social media.”
She continued, “I think it’s just a particularly hard month for me. I’ve just had to experience my first Christmas without him. This entire month leading up to Christmas has been really difficult for me. And Preston’s birthday is December 27, which is tomorrow. His first birthday without him. I’ve just really been struggling and what I need right now to heal is simply to focus on the things that are physically around me. I need to concentrate on my daughter, family and friends that are nearby. That’s what’s healing for me right now.”
At the same time, Ordone mentioned that she does “enjoy” creating content.
