Images acquired by the Daily Mail this past Saturday, October 11, captured Perry, aged 40, sharing tender moments and embraces with Trudeau, aged 53, aboard her luxury Caravelle vessel near Santa Barbara, California.
Perry, whose six-year engagement to actor Orlando Bloom concluded in June, was seen in a sleek black one-piece bathing suit, openly affectionate with a bare-chested Trudeau, who opted for a relaxed look with jeans and shades. One particular shot showed him encircling Perry with his arms, his hand resting on her backside, as she nestled into his neck.

Approximately two months following these sightings, insiders informed Us Weekly that the two were discreetly dating.
“They've chosen to maintain a greater level of privacy regarding their relationship,” an anonymous source revealed in September. “They continue to communicate and share a strong mutual interest.”
Another insider mentioned that the connection between Perry and Trudeau “is not yet serious” due to her “very demanding schedule” with her ongoing tour, which is presently in England. (Her Lifetimes Tour is set to wrap up at Etihad Park in Abu Dhabi on December 7.)
“Katy is approaching things one day at a time but remains very receptive to dating,” the source communicated to Us.
The renowned “Teenage Dream” vocalist appeared to transition into a relationship with the political figure soon after her separation from her former fiancé Bloom, 48, who is also the father of her 5-year-old daughter, Daisy. Us reported on June 25 that Perry and the Lord of the Rings star had parted ways amicably following almost ten years of an intermittent relationship.
