Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau Continue Discreet Courtship Amidst Demanding Schedules
Almost eight weeks since their much-talked-about evening out, insiders reveal exclusively to Us Weekly that Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau continue their discreet courtship.
“They’ve chosen a more secluded approach to their relationship,” one insider states. “Communication remains open, and their mutual interest is strong.”
Another source mentions that the connection between Perry and Trudeau “lacks seriousness” due to her “incredibly demanding schedule” with her Lifetimes Tour.
“Justin has arranged to meet her during her upcoming break in a few weeks, upon her return from the Brazil portion of her tour,” the source informs Us, highlighting Perry’s brief hiatus before her European performances commence on October 4. “Katy is approaching things casually but is quite receptive to pursuing a romantic connection.”

Us Weekly has contacted representatives for both Perry and Trudeau seeking a statement.
Perry, aged 40, and Trudeau, 53, captured attention after being seen strolling with her dog, Nugget, in Montreal’s Mount Royal Park on July 28. That same evening, the renowned singer and the ex-Canadian head of government dined at Le Violon, indulging in drinks and menu items such as beef tartare, lobster, gnocchi, and lamb.
A spokesperson for the upscale eatery informed the Associated Press then that Perry and Trudeau’s time together lasted around two hours, yet displayed “no visible displays of affection or similar gestures.” Conversely, co-owner and co-executive chef Danny Smiles conveyed to The New York Times that the duo “appeared very cheerful.”
Following their dinner, Perry and Trudeau concluded their night with beverages on Taverne Atlantic’s patio. He subsequently attended her performance at Montreal’s Bell Centre forty-eight hours afterward.

The artist behind “Teenage Dream” began seeing the political figure soon after ending her engagement to ex-fiancé Orlando Bloom, with whom she co-parents their 5-year-old daughter, Daisy.
Us disclosed on June 25 that Perry and the Lord of the Rings actor, 48, had mutually ended their six-year engagement earlier in the current year.
Seven days later, their representatives issued a joint statement affirming the development: “Over recent months, Orlando and Katy have been evolving their relationship to prioritize co-parenting. They will continue to appear together as a family, as their common objective remains — and will perpetually be — nurturing their daughter with affection, consistency, and reciprocal regard.”
Bloom spoke publicly about the separation for the initial time during a recent conversation on the Today show.

Before their connection, Perry and Bloom had previous marriages to Russell Brand and Miranda Kerr, in that order. The performer and the fashion figure are parents to their 14-year-old son, Flynn.
Trudeau, on the other hand, publicly declared his split from his former spouse, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, in August 2023, concluding an 18-year marriage and a family with three children: their 17-year-old son Xavier, 16-year-old daughter Ella-Grace, and 11-year-old son Hadrien.
