Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau's Parisian Birthday Bash Sparks Romance Rumors
Pop superstar Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau celebrated their blossoming relationship with an intimate evening in Paris.
Trudeau, 53, was captured on video hand-in-hand with the chart-topping artist after commemorating her 41st birthday on Saturday, October 25, during their Parisian rendezvous. According to TMZ footage, Perry was seen in an elegant crimson gown, accepting a rose from an admirer as they exited the Crazy Horse Paris cabaret.
As Trudeau clasped her hand, Perry graciously received the flower while a crowd of well-wishers serenaded her with “Happy Birthday” outside the establishment. Both Trudeau and Perry beamed, offering a quick nod to the multitude of paparazzi and admirers before stepping into a waiting vehicle.
The past several months have proven to be quite eventful for the celebrity pair. Their initial public appearance together was in July, taking a stroll through Montreal’s Mount Royal Park, followed by a secluded dinner at Le Violon restaurant later that day.

Since their first sighting, Perry and Trudeau have been seen together on numerous occasions, notably including an affectionate yacht excursion near Santa Barbara, California, earlier in October.
Us Weekly reported on Friday, October 24, that both Perry and Trudeau are making efforts to keep their personal lives private, even as public scrutiny of their connection grows.
“Katy is deeply invested and quite content,” an anonymous source shared with Us. “She’s aiming for discretion, and they’ve enjoyed considerable time away from the public eye. She has no desire to parade this romance.”
The insider further commented, “While their mutual acquaintances believe they are well-suited, he has not yet been introduced to many of her close companions.”
Trudeau and Perry managed their recent date amidst the busy schedule of the singer’s Lifetimes European Tour. Perry had a performance at the Accor Arena in Paris on Friday and is slated to appear at the MVM Dome in Budapest, Hungary, on Monday, October 27. (The European segment of Perry’s Lifetimes Tour concludes on November 11 in Madrid, Spain, prior to her journey to Asia to finish the year.)
Their current relationship appears to have begun a month following Us’s exclusive report that Perry and her decade-long partner Orlando Bloom concluded their engagement in June.
(Bloom is a parent to 5-year-old daughter Daisy Dove with Perry, and also has 14-year-old son Flynn from his previous marriage to Miranda Kerr. Perry was previously wed to comedian and political commentator Russell Brand between 2010 and 2012.)
“Orlando and Katy have been transitioning their dynamic for several months, prioritizing cooperative parenting,” representatives for the duo affirmed in a combined statement to Us on July 3. “They will persist in appearing together as a family unit, as their mutual paramount concern remains, and always will be, nurturing their daughter with affection, consistency, and reciprocal esteem.”
In September, Bloom, 48, expressed to NBC’s Today that he felt “thankful” to have “the most wonderful daughter” with Perry, further stating: “We’re doing well [and] will continue to do so. It’s purely affectionate.”

The Pirates of the Caribbean star even poked fun at Perry’s blossoming relationship with Trudeau after the satirical publication The Onion humorously proposed that Bloom might retaliate by dating former German chancellor Angela Merkel.
Bloom reacted in the comments by simply posting three clapping hand emojis.
Concurrently, Justin and his former spouse, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, verified that they had formally agreed to a legal separation in August 2023, concluding their 18-year marriage. (Sophie and Justin are parents to three children: Xavier, 18; Ella-Grace, 16; and Hadrien, 11.)
“They continue to be a tight-knit family,” a representative for the former couple affirmed in a statement then. “Both guardians will consistently be involved in their children’s lives, and Canadians should anticipate seeing the family frequently together.”
