The 40-year-old music icon recently reacted with a "like" to an Instagram update from the satirical publication The Onion, which published an article on Monday, October 20, alluding to Perry's connection with the 53-year-old ex-Canadian prime minister.
The mock headline declared, “Katy Perry Unveils New Track Praising Canadian Manufacturing's Excellence.”
The jest carried on in the accompanying text, as The Onion featured an invented quote attributed to Perry, stating, “Discovering the robustness of Canadian automotive and aerospace production convinced me it belonged in a song.”
