Kayla Lochte Demands Ryan's Financial Docs Amidst Acrimonious Divorce Battle
In their acrimonious divorce proceedings, Kayla Lochte, the separated spouse of Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte, insisted on gaining access to his financial documentation, as Us Weekly has learned exclusively.
Court documents filed by Kayla on Wednesday, October 22, disclosed that she had served subpoenas compelling multiple banks to furnish all banking information associated with any accounts belonging to Ryan or his enterprises.
The subpoena requested all records concerning accounts maintained by Ryan from January 2019 up to the current date, alongside details about any credit cards obtained by the athlete. Furthermore, Kayla sought information regarding any loans Ryan might have acquired.
A separate subpoena was dispatched to Cash App to ascertain if Ryan received payments via the digital financial service, and a distinct subpoena was issued to the entity managing Cameo, the platform enabling supporters to buy personalized video messages from public figures.
Kayla's request to Cameo sought data on the total number of videos Ryan had been commissioned for and the corresponding income he generated. As of now, Ryan has not provided a response to Kayla's subpoenas.
On March 26, Kayla initiated divorce proceedings following seven years of marriage. She asserted that the union was “irretrievably broken.” She is seeking sole primary custody of their three young children: Caiden, aged 8; Liv, aged 6; and Georgia, aged 2.
During their marriage, she accused Ryan of illicit drug use in the presence of their children. According to court filings, Kayla claimed to have discovered discarded cocaine baggies throughout the residence that Ryan had left. She additionally alleged witnessing him consume nitrous oxide in the garage while one of their children was present.

Kayla's motion asserted that Ryan had failed multiple drug screenings. The document stated, “[Ryan’s] consistent and repeated irresponsible conduct indicates his unsuitability to share parental responsibility, and granting it would be detrimental to the minor children.”
When Us reached out for a statement, Ryan vehemently refuted claims that he used drugs in the vicinity of their children.
“As I admitted earlier this week, following my car accident in 2023, I entered a period of depression which resulted in substance abuse,” Ryan informed Us. “While I don't dispute drug use within my residence, I strongly deny ever using drugs directly in front of or near my children, nor have I ever driven them under the influence.”
“I made strenuous efforts to keep these divorce proceedings confidential and sealed, not for my own benefit, but to safeguard my children from baseless accusations that could harm them. Regrettably, despite my endeavors, my ex-wife opted to publicize this issue, fully aware that I was already undergoing intensive rehabilitation,” Ryan further stated.
“Everyone commits errors in life. Our identity is shaped not by these missteps, but by how we gain insight from them and the dedication we apply to surmount them. I deeply regret causing pain or disappointment to anyone throughout this process,” Ryan concluded. “My current priority is my recuperation, striving to be the most effective father possible, and progressing in a manner that ensures my children remain secure, affirmed, and cherished.”
