Kayla Nicole Apologizes for Past Offensive Tweets Removes Social Media Account
Kayla Nicole has spoken out regarding old social media content that recently came back into public view.
“I wish to take this opportunity to genuinely apologize for the offensive tweets I shared numerous years ago,” Nicole, aged 34, stated on her Instagram Stories on Thursday, November 13. “Their reemergence last week has been profoundly challenging, and reviewing them today, I feel deep shame for having ever held or expressed such sentiments. They were ill-informed, damaging, and entirely improper.”
Astute followers observed earlier in the month that Nicole had discreetly deactivated her X account following the re-sharing of her decade-old posts from 2010, which reportedly contained discriminatory and anti-LGBTQ+ remarks.
“The person I have become now would never utter such words or voice such opinions,” she further commented on Thursday. “Through the years, I have personally witnessed the severity and destructiveness of online negativity. I would never wish to contribute to that sphere of suffering in any capacity.”

Nicole went on to say, “I have since removed those specific tweets and my entire X account as I refuse to perpetuate that negativity or extend a loop of animosity.”
The former participant of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test emphasized that she accepts “complete accountability” for her previous online contributions.
“I genuinely apologize to anyone I might have caused pain,” Nicole stated. “My core beliefs, principles, and outlook are entirely founded on compassion, affection, and regard for others. While I cannot alter what has occurred, I will persistently demonstrate through my conduct the person I have evolved into and my current convictions.”
Nicole recently garnered attention after honoring Toni Braxton’s “He Wasn’t Man Enough” music video during Halloween celebrations.
“Were you aware of our past then? / Are you aware I ended things with your husband, girlfriend?” Nicole mimed to the lyrics in social media video footage at that point. “He's not on my mind / Yet you married him / Do you know I caused his departure? / Do you know he implored me to stay? / He wasn't suitable for me.”
Given that the popular 2000 song depicted Braxton’s former partner and his new significant other, many assumed Nicole was subtly criticizing ex Travis Kelce and his partner, Taylor Swift. Kelce, 36, had an intermittent relationship with Nicole for five years before their final separation in 2022. The subsequent year, the NFL personality began a relationship with Swift, 35.
Nicole subsequently denied that her Halloween costume was intended as a slight towards Kelce and Swift, whose engagement was announced in August.

“I had a Caucasian best friend. Her name was Taylor,” Nicole shared on her “Pre-Game” podcast. “And her home was the sole place I could visit as a child because my mother didn't tolerate those kinds of activities. I vividly recall being driven home from private school in my uniform in the rear of a police van with Taylor, and her mother was playing this particular track.”
As per Nicole, she later experienced a realization that “Caucasian individuals also enjoy ‘Black music’.”
“I believe Halloween provides a chance to showcase one's creative expression,” she stated during a subsequent podcast episode earlier in November. “Individuals will attempt to impose their own interpretations, but for me, personally, my aim is not to disparage other women. My goal is to uplift them, and for me, this occasion was about honoring a significant figure in my cultural heritage.”
