Kelly Bensimon Is Single Again After Relationship Fizzles

The Real Housewives of New York City alumna Kelly Bensimon is single once again.

Bensimon, 57, disclosed during the Thursday, January 8, episode of the “I Do Part 2” podcast that she’s currently unattached after experiencing a lack of support from the man she had been dating.

“I have considerable emotional energy available, and then, occasionally I simply reach a breaking point. I faced some health challenges last year, and I was navigating numerous personal difficulties,” Bensimon told listeners. “It truly helped me understand what I desired in my romantic life, and how I wanted to approach that and progress into 2026.”

She clarified that her former partner “did not provide assistance when I genuinely, deeply needed it,” which was her final deciding factor.

Bensimon revealed during an October 2025 episode of the “I Do Part 2” podcast that she was experiencing a new “private” relationship.

“He’s an exceptionally kind, very thoughtful father of daughters. Very accomplished, very creative,” she said at the time. “He’s also quite adventurous. He’s very protective of me. He encourages me to pursue all aspects of my life, from work, podcasting, all of my brands, all my influencing.”

Who Is Kelly Bensimon’s Most Recent Ex?

Throughout her previous appearances on the podcast, Bensimon kept details about their relationship vague. Aside from the October 2025 reveal of her relationship, the former Bravo star largely kept her romance private.

“He’s a remarkably dynamic individual. … Very intelligent, very dynamic, very successful,” she said, “He possesses all the qualities I seek. That’s why I fell in love with him. I fell in love with him because I believed that he was my ideal partner.”

Falling in Love

When discussing her romance in October 2025, Bensimon — who was married to Gilles Bensimon from 1997 to 2007 and engaged to Scott Litner in 2023 — stated she had never experienced romantic love. However, that changed with this relationship.

“I became deeply in love with him. I love him,” she explained. “I was intensely in love with him. I was completely captivated. I was madly in love with him. He could do no wrong.”

Bensimon shares daughters Sea and Teddy with her ex-husband. They noticed a shift in their mother’s behavior, prompting them to express their concerns.

“There were a few instances that caused them to question the nature of my relationship and what was happening,” Bensimon recalled. “They simply said, ‘Mommy, you’re not yourself.’”

A Mutual Split

Bensimon said she sensed “a change in the atmosphere” within their relationship.

“I simply knew in my heart that this wasn’t right,” she added. “I can’t speak for him, but I believe he was not content with the shift in the atmosphere.”

Moving On

The former reality star said she still cares for her ex “very much” but has adopted a different perspective.

“I still believe that he’s an exceptional person. I don’t view him the way that I did, perhaps, two weeks ago,” Bensimon said. “When we did have a difficult conversation, I observed numerous qualities I didn’t appreciate. But that doesn’t make him a bad person; it simply means he’s not the right person for me.”
