Kelly Stafford Returns to Podcast Focusing on Family Amid Matthew Stafford's MVP Season
Kelly Stafford, spouse of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, provided new information to the audience of her podcast, “The Morning After,” following a previously declared break last month.
“I sense a strong desire to return to my foundational priorities, which necessitates dedicating myself to those I cherish most,” Kelly posted on Instagram on Wednesday, November 26. “My husband is navigating an incredibly demanding season, and I intend to be completely committed alongside him. I wish to be fully engaged with my daughters. I want to offer my complete devotion to the individuals who have consistently offered theirs to me.”
Kelly, 36, and Matthew, 37, whose current performance for the NFC-leading Rams is of MVP quality, are parents to four daughters: twins Sawyer and Chandler, both 8, Hunter, 7, and Tyler, 5.
“This isn’t a final farewell…it’s more of a temporary parting,” Kelly affirmed. “I appreciate you allowing me to mature, transform, experience setbacks, recover, and develop alongside you. Thank you for your affection through every phase of my journey. I anticipate with eagerness what the subsequent evolution of TMA will entail.”
Kelly Stafford's Children Participate in Etiquette Training Following Conduct Concerns
The most recent new installment of “The Morning After,” a podcast initiated by Kelly in 2021, was released on October 2.
“I’ve reflected on numerous reasons for my gratitude…for my existence, for the disorder, for the advantages, and particularly for all of you,” Kelly penned. “I appreciate your understanding as I navigated various issues during this intermission. I commenced this venture over four years ago with substandard equipment, no editorial refinement, and truthfully, no idea what I was undertaking. My sole aspiration was for fellow mothers to feel acknowledged, as I was utterly weary of social media's portrayal of flawless lives.”
She further stated, “That sentiment remains unaltered. In fact, it resonates even more profoundly today. This platform has proven to be precisely what I required. It has been extraordinarily beneficial for me and, more significantly…for my loved ones.”
Kelly first declared the podcast’s suspension in October, informing her audience that it would “last for approximately one month.”
“I’ve been experiencing some difficulty envisioning the future direction of this project,” Kelly clarified. “Naturally, I have four daughters and a husband, and while this podcast is also dear to me, I don't love it as much as them. It has been consuming more of my time than I desired.”
She continued, “Presently, partly for my mental well-being and given that it's also mid-season, there have been alterations concerning this podcast. I believe I need to pause and determine the course of action. I am not indicating an end to this venture. I simply require a moment.”
Kelly and Matthew Stafford Discuss Their Reasons for Occasionally Not Wearing Wedding Bands
The podcast's break occurred only weeks after cohost Hank Winchester, 51, who became part of the podcast in 2023, was exonerated in an inquiry into sexual misconduct allegations.
“I am extremely grateful to have emerged from this completely unblemished. No accusations filed,” Winchester stated on the August 18 installment of “The Morning After.” “The facts were self-evident. However, I must convey, it was an emotionally draining experience.”
Nevertheless, it was disclosed that Winchester was dismissed from his role as a reporter at WDIV-TV in Detroit on October 3, subsequent to the police inquiry. The news of Winchester’s termination was made public one day after the latest episode of “The Morning After” became available.
Kelly has refrained from discussing Winchester’s termination, and WDIV has not offered a precise explanation for Winchester’s dismissal.
