According to Us Weekly, a confirmation came on Monday, September 29, announcing that Kidman, 58, and Urban, 57, ended their 19-year marital union. Their initial encounter was in 2005, in the aftermath of her divorce from Tom Cruise. A year into their relationship, Kidman and Urban exchanged vows at the Cardinal Cerretti Memorial Chapel in Sydney, Australia, surrounded by loved ones.
“I vividly recall being in Sydney, driving along a street alongside my father — who has since passed away — with him beside me in the car,” Kidman shared with People in 2004. “As we headed towards the church, the streets were lined with numerous individuals, seemingly rejoicing for us.”
Kidman recounted lowering the window of the classic white Rolls-Royce to express gratitude to passersby as she and her father, Antony, proceeded to the chapel for the ceremony illuminated by candlelight.

Following their vows, the couple subsequently grew their family in 2008 with the birth of their daughter, Sunday Rose. Two years afterward, Kidman and Urban celebrated the arrival of their daughter, Faith, through surrogacy. (Kidman additionally has a daughter, Isabella, and a son, Connor, adopted during her marriage to Cruise.)
