Kim Kardashian Gifts Kourtney the Iconic Pee-wee Herman Bicycle
Kim Kardashian surprised her older sister, Kourtney Kardashian, with an extraordinary piece of film memorabilia this Christmas!
Kourtney, 46, shared on her Instagram Stories over the weekend that she is now the owner of Pee-wee Herman’s iconic red Schwinn bicycle from the 1985 film Pee-wee’s Big Adventure.
“If anyone is still searching for Pee-wee’s bicycle… I now have it,” the Poosh founder wrote over an image of the bike posted to her Instagram Stories on Saturday, December 27. “The coolest Christmas present ever,” she added, mentioning Kim, 45.
On Sunday, December 28, Kourtney displayed another close-up of the bike, this time highlighting a gold plaque that reads, “Property of Pee-wee Herman.”
The red bicycle is a significant element of Pee-wee’s Big Adventure, starring the late Paul Reubens, and is even featured in the memorable poster for the movie. In the film, Pee-wee’s bike is stolen and he embarks on a journey to The Alamo in San Antonio, Texas, to retrieve it after consulting a fake psychic.
In reality, a total of 14 Schwinn DX stunt bikes were created between 1946 and 1953 and utilized during filming, the movie’s prop master, Steven Levine, told Los Angeles Magazine in July. Two of these recently sold for more than $125,000 at auction.
It remains unclear if Kim was among the successful bidders at the auction.
In March, the auction house Propstore sold one of the bikes for approximately $145,000. Another was sold via Van Eaton Galleries for $125,000 in April, according to People.

In July, CBS Mornings revealed that the Alamo had acquired the bike sold in April. It was put on public display for a limited time in August to commemorate the Tim Burton-directed film’s 40th anniversary and, starting in 2027, it will have a permanent exhibit inside the Alamo Visitor Center and Museum.
Three additional bikes used in the movie are currently on display across the United States: one at the Bicycle Museum of America in New Bremen, Ohio, one at the Hollywood Museum in Los Angeles, and one personally donated by Reubens’ estate to the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, which went on display in August.
While Kim’s Christmas gift to Kourtney was gratefully received by her sister, another of her holiday presents recently drew criticism.
The All’s Fair star shared in an Instagram Story on Thursday, December 25, that she had given each of her four children their own pet puppy. (Kim shares North, 12, Saint, 10, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 8, with her ex-husband Kanye West.)

“Each kid received a puppy,” Kim wrote alongside video footage of the new pets.
“Puppies are not toys, and it’s a shame that Kim missed the opportunity to promote shelter animals,” PETA founder Ingrid Newkirk said in a statement to the Daily Mail on Saturday, December 27. “Ignoring the crisis of homeless animals is unacceptably insensitive.”
Newkirk urged Kim “to contact PETA or a local shelter the next time they want to bring an animal into their home,” and suggested she encourage her “children to volunteer at a local shelter” or contribute “to a local shelter’s adoption event or at least a spay day to help address the growing problem of homeless puppies.” (Kim has yet to publicly respond to the criticism. Us Weekly reached out to her representative for comment over the weekend.)
