Kim Kardashian Honors Beloved Friend Lindsay May One Year After Her Passing

Kim Kardashian continues to honor the memory of her dear friend Lindsay May.

“It's been one year since you left us. November 2nd felt like the world stopped, and I believe a piece of all of us, your 'lifers,' went with you,” Kardashian, 45, expressed on Instagram on Monday, November 3. “Existence feels different without your presence. We find you reflected in violet sunsets and the flight of butterflies. My love for you is eternal, my dearest friend.”

In her tribute to her longtime companion — who passed away in November 2024 following a battle with cancer — The Kardashians personality posted a collection of heartfelt nostalgic images featuring May.

Among these recollections were photobooth pictures of the pair taken at a birthday celebration for Psalm West. A further image showed May's gravestone, inscribed with the words, “Cherished wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Love, love, love.” (Kardashian is also mother to North, 12, Saint, 9, and Chicago, 7, with her former husband, Kanye West, in addition to son Psalm, 6.)

Immediately following her post, Kim garnered messages of encouragement in the comments from companions such as Kyle Richards, Kate Hudson, and her sister Kourtney Kardashian. Several individuals, including Khloe Kardashian, responded with purple heart and butterfly imagery.

Earlier in June, Kim had publicly shared the news of her dear friend's passing following her struggle with cancer.

During that period, the SKIMS CEO revealed that their shared acquaintance, Simone Harouche, had initiated a fundraising effort involving the sale of Citizens of Humanity jeans dubbed “The Linz” to collect funds for studying the illness.

A percentage of proceeds from each pair of “The Lindz” will be allocated to the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation (NETRF) to further its objective of financing vital research and promoting improved therapies and a remedy.

May belonged to a close-knit group of friends that Kim affectionately referred to as her “lifers.” This exclusive circle also included Blended Strategy Group CEO Allison Statter, Roe Caviar founder Sarah Meyer Michaelson, yoga instructor Ashley Kassan, and Zoe Winkler, daughter of Henry Winkler.

In July, Kardashian commemorated May on what would have been her birthday in heaven. Although she confessed to delaying her post for months, stating it was “primarily because I couldn’t articulate the right sentiments,” the entrepreneur shared that she eventually managed to gather her emotions and recount several cherished recollections of her intimate friend.

Notwithstanding the sorrow May's companions have experienced — and continue to experience — Kardashian articulated her immense “gratitude” for the wonderful memories they formed since their childhood days.

“I am incredibly thankful for all the moments we shared from our youth. Your absence was palpable this year in every evening sky, every shared chuckle, every moment of silence,” she concluded. “We profoundly miss you, Lindz. Our existence feels altered without you here. Perhaps that is why I cling so steadfastly to this lake custom. The lake will always be with us — and within it, a part of you will forever remain.”
