Kim Zolciak Pulled Into $100 Million Divorce Battle

In September 2025, former Real Housewives of Atlanta personality Kim Zolciak found herself entangled in a Georgia couple’s contentious $100 million divorce proceedings.

Court documents obtained by Us Weekly reveal that Jillian Green sought Zolciak’s court appearance to clarify details regarding alleged gifts she received from Green’s estranged spouse, Kyle Mowitz. Green petitioned the court to compel Zolciak to disclose communication logs between her and Mowitz, as well as specifics of any “gifts given or received from Kyle” and “monies loaned to [her] and monies paid” by the businessman.

Zolciak’s legal representatives opposed Green’s motion, deeming it “unreasonable, oppressive and intended to annoy and embarrass her.” A judicial decision is still pending.

The legal clash between Green and Mowitz coincided with Zolciak’s own acrimonious divorce battle with her estranged husband, former NFL athlete Kroy Biermann, where both parties were seeking sole custody of their minor children. (Zolciak and Biermann — who separated in 2023 after 12 years of marriage — are parents to four children: Jagger “KJ” Jr., 13, Kash, 12, and twins Kaia and Kane, 11. Biermann also adopted Brielle, 28, and Ariana, 23 — Zolciak’s two daughters from a previous relationship — during their union.)

When Were Jillian Green and Kyle Mowitz Married?

Mowitz cited June 24, 2017, as the date of their marriage.

When Did They Separate?

Mowitz initiated divorce proceedings against Green in March 2025, declaring that reconciliation was impossible. By the following month, he informed the court that the estranged couple resided in separate Georgia residences.

Mowitz asserted that Green did not require spousal support, as she was an “able-bodied adult capable of gainful employment.” He requested both legal and physical custody of his and Green’s two minor children. Green countered in a counterclaim, agreeing to joint legal custody but seeking primary physical custody.

Regarding their financial disagreement, Mowitz was accused by his estranged wife of establishing a family trust valued at a minimum of $100 million — which he allegedly solely controlled — in 2021 while he was “engaged in an extra-marital affair and contemplating divorce.” According to Green’s counterclaim, her husband transferred the majority of their assets into the family trust before their divorce.

However, Mowitz, in a court response, accused Green of being the one who engaged in an extramarital affair.

“[Green] however, has been steadfast in her desire to overcomplicate and over-expand this case, making it into something it is not to distract from her own conduct,” Mowitz alleged. “Particularly, [Green] has asserted baseless claims about the nature of a trust, of which she was fully aware of at the time it was created and at all times since and related to which her claims of a fraudulent transaction are wholly without merit.”

Both parties deny any wrongdoing.

What Is Kim Zolciak‘s Involvement in Green and Mowitz’s Divorce?

Court documents obtained by Us indicated that on September 20, 2025, Zolciak received a subpoena demanding her appearance for a deposition concerning Mowitz and Green’s divorce. The petition stated Zolciak was served at a high school parking lot.

Green’s legal counsel requested the RHOA alumna provide all communications pertaining to “payment for services or communications concerning [Mowitz],” as well as contact regarding Green, their divorce, their children, and any relevant third parties. Additionally, Zolciak was asked to submit any contact between her estranged husband and Mowitz.

Furthermore, Green sought “any and all documents regarding or pertaining to [Kim’s] financial relationship with Kyle Mowitz, including but not limited to gifts given or received from Kyle, expenses paid on your behalf by Mr. Mowitz or any business in which he is connected, monies loaned to you and monies paid to you by Mr. Mowitz or any businesses with which he is connected.” This request covered any potential business associations Zolciak might have had with Mowitz, as well as any personal dealings.

Green’s attorneys also requested any information Zolciak could furnish about travel arrangements and payments, itineraries, and any expenses incurred during her travel with Mowitz.

In response, Kim’s attorneys labeled the demand for her deposition “unreasonable, oppressive and intended to annoy and embarrass her.” Mowitz’s attorney also condemned Green’s requests for Zolciak as “overreaching and overly burdensome” for the “Tardy for the Party” singer.

Mowitz’s lawyer, Marvin Solomiany, also conveyed to Us: “We are not going to litigate the facts surrounding our client’s divorce case outside of the applicable legal proceedings. We encourage you to review the pleadings we have filed on our client’s behalf, which accurately represent our client’s position relating to this matter. As to Ms. Kim Zolciak, Ms. Mowitz’s decision to involve her in the divorce case is highly unnecessary as any relationship our client may have with her only began after the parties’ separation.”

As of October 2025, a judge has yet to decide whether Zolciak will be compelled to comply with Green’s requests.
