King Charles III Sends Heartfelt Condolences to the Osbourne Family
Following the passing of the iconic musician Ozzy Osbourne, King Charles III extended his personal condolences to the Osbourne family.
During the November 12 Wednesday installment of the “Osbournes” podcast, Sharon, Jack, and Kelly Osbourne disclosed that the 76-year-old monarch, Charles, had sent them a handwritten note after Ozzy’s passing earlier in July.
“A wonderful letter arrived from the king,” stated Jack, 40.
Sharon, 73, excitedly interjected, “Our monarch! That’s what I call remarkable!”
Sharon Osbourne Discloses Ozzy's Final Remarks Regarding His Supporters
“Our sovereign, he is an extraordinary individual. It’s not simply that he contacted us after Ozzy's departure… if he did this for us, it's clear he extends such gestures to countless others,” she commented. “This is an individual truly aware of the everyday realities faced by people, beyond mere governmental affairs. He is dedicated to environmental issues and animal welfare. His concern spans numerous domains. He possesses a compassionate spirit.”
Sharon mentioned that the monarch “was under no obligation to undertake certain actions he performed for Ozzy,” such as sending birthday greetings to Ozzy on previous occasions.
“When Ozzy was hospitalized following his motorcycle accident, he contacted us,” Sharon stated. “He is a kind, attentive man with a generous spirit. Ozzy, and I… we are loyal to the monarchy. We hold him and his family in high regard. We respect. He carved out time from his schedule to compose a note for us, personally delivered, from the king expressing his sympathy for Ozzy’s death. And that speaks volumes.”
Kelly, 41, disclosed that she too got a personal note from renowned late-night host Jimmy Fallon. “There are so many individuals we could mention indefinitely whom I genuinely didn't anticipate hearing from,” she remarked.

Ozzy passed away on July 22, at 76 years old, following an extended struggle with Parkinson’s disease.
“With a grief deeper than can be articulated, we must announce that our cherished Ozzy Osbourne departed this morning,” his relatives informed Us Weekly in a contemporary declaration. “He was in the company of his family, enveloped by affection. We request that all respect our family's need for privacy during this period.”
In a YouTube video released in September, Jack shared details about learning of his father’s demise while situated in Los Angeles. (Ozzy had passed away in his homeland, the U.K.)
“I was awoken in Los Angeles by a rapping on my front door, approximately at 3:45 AM. An individual who has been associated with my family for roughly three decades was at my door. Upon gazing through my window and recognizing him, I instantly sensed that ill tidings awaited,” Jack recounted.
He proceeded, “I received news that my father had died. … Instantly, I don't know … merely anguish. Sorrow and distress. A myriad of reflections. One experiences this phase of feeling melancholic, exasperated, and enraged. … However, there was a sense of, alright, he’s no longer enduring pain, he’s no longer contending, and that offers some solace.”
“I long for his continued presence. I wish he remained among us all, but he was facing considerable hardship, and I believe that was evident during the performance,” Jack concluded, referencing Ozzy’s presence at Black Sabbath’s concluding concert in Birmingham, England, mere weeks prior to his passing.
