Kristin Cabot Files for Divorce After Coldplay Kiss Cam Controversy with Andy Byron

Reports indicate that Kristin Cabot has initiated divorce proceedings against her spouse, Andrew Cabot, approximately a month following her widely publicized kiss cam appearance with the former CEO of Astronomer, Andy Byron, at a Coldplay event.
Court filings, secured by The Daily Mail on Saturday, September 6, reveal that Kristin formally submitted her divorce petition in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, on August 13. Neither Kristin nor Andrew has made any public statements regarding their alleged split. Us Weekly has sought their remarks on the matter.
Kristin and Byron – at the time, the Chief People Officer and CEO, respectively, of the technology firm Astronomer – garnered significant media attention when the two colleagues were observed embracing on the jumbotron during a Coldplay concert on July 16 at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts. Byron was seen with his arms around Kristin until the camera shifted, at which point he quickly ducked down to conceal himself, and she turned away, covering her face.
“Whoa, check out this pair. Okay, come on. It’s alright,” Coldplay's lead singer, Chris Martin, commented during the uncomfortable scene. “They are either engaged in a clandestine relationship or simply extremely bashful. I'm somewhat at a loss for how to proceed.”

Martin, aged 48, subsequently pondered audibly about the incident, which was destined to become widely circulated, remarking, “I trust we haven't caused any harm.”
Both Byron and Kristin, who commenced their collaboration at Astronomer in November 2024, are currently wed to different individuals. Andy’s spouse, Megan Kerrigan Byron, later seemed to take down “Byron” from her Facebook presence and eventually deactivated her profile altogether.
Following the public controversy, Andy stepped down from his role as the Chief Executive Officer of Astronomer.
“Astronomer upholds the principles and ethos that have been fundamental to our organization since its inception. Our leadership is anticipated to exemplify exemplary behavior and responsibility, and recently, those expectations were not fulfilled,” a company representative informed Us Weekly in a statement released on July 19. “Andy Byron has submitted his resignation, which the Board of Directors has approved. The Board will initiate a search for our subsequent Chief Executive, while Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy maintains his position as interim CEO.”

The statement went on to say, “Prior to this week, we were recognized as a leader in the DataOps sector, assisting data teams in enabling everything from contemporary analytics to operational AI. Although public recognition of our company may have shifted dramatically, our offerings and our commitment to our clients remain unchanged. We persist in our core competency: supporting our customers with their most complex data and AI challenges.”
In the subsequent week, Us validated that Kristin also relinquished her role as Chief People Officer.
“Kristin Cabot is no longer affiliated with Astronomer,” a company representative communicated to Us on July 24. “She has departed her role.”
