Kroy Biermann Breaks Silence on Abusive Partnerships Amid Kim Zolciak Divorce

Kroy Biermann shared a detailed statement concerning the topic of abusive partnerships, in the midst of his separation from Kim Zolciak.

“I’ve struggled with composing this particular message for several days, seeking to articulate the profound impact and intricacy of my personal experiences,” Biermann, 40, wrote in the caption of an Instagram update on Friday, October 10. “How does one condense years of disorientation, suffering, and perseverance into a brief written account? How does one describe the sensation of being confined within a situation that outwardly appears affectionate, yet inwardly feels like a gradual disintegration?”

Accompanying the caption was a video showcasing Biermann seated in a dimly lit space. The footage was synchronized with Isaac Mather’s track, “I’m Proud You Stayed,” displaying the identical text from his written statement as on-screen overlays. “At one point, I doubted my ability to endure. The agony was relentless — the bewilderment, the solitude, the manipulative tactics. It felt as though my very spirit was collapsing,” Biermann claimed. “I found myself ensnared in purposefully constructed turmoil, yet inexplicably, I bore the responsibility for the upheaval. Each statement I uttered was distorted. Every endeavor I undertook was deemed insufficient.”

He further stated, “And with time, I began to internalize the idea that perhaps I was the source of the difficulties.”

Biermann indicated in his extended message that he “implored for everything to cease.”

“When one has been demoralized for an extended period, the prospect of demise can begin to seem like tranquility,” he included. “However, the divine. God encountered me within that profound gloom. When I lacked the power to advocate for myself, He interceded on my behalf. He reassured me that my existence retained significance, that my narrative had not reached its conclusion.”

Biermann stated that amidst the purported “suffering and mistreatment,” he received a divine message: “You belong to me. You are not defined by others’ perceptions of you.”

The ex-NFL athlete brought his statement to a close with a special address to his supporters.

“Should you find yourself currently in a situation where the burden feels overwhelming, I urge you to reach out to the divine,” he penned. “Precise articulation is not necessary. Even unwavering faith is not a prerequisite. Simply invoke His name. He will encounter you in that space. He provides the escape.”

Biermann observed that he is “continuing to recover” and bears “emotional marks” from the turbulent relationship he alluded to.

“I am proud of my perseverance. Because enduring does not imply remaining within an abusive dynamic. It signifies remaining alive. Remaining steadfast in belief. Remaining receptive to the divine’s capacity to transform your suffering,” he finalized. “You are not isolated. You are not beyond repair. You are not overlooked. God’s work in your life is not yet complete.”

Although Biermann refrained from explicitly naming any individual, online commentators swiftly presumed he was alluding to his estranged spouse Zolciak, 47. (Us Weekly has contacted Zolciak for her statement.)

The erstwhile reality television personalities exchanged vows in 2011 and have been entangled in contentious divorce proceedings since 2023. Accusations have ranged from Zolciak asserting Biermann engaged in expletive-laden outbursts in front of their children, to Biermann contending that Zolciak struggles with a gambling addiction. The separation process for the former pair remains unresolved.

Zolciak and Biermann are parents to KJ, 13, Kash, 12, and the 11-year-old twins, Kaia and Kane. Furthermore, Biermann formally adopted Zolciak’s daughters from a previous partnership, Brielle, 28, and Ariana, 23.
